I use mine with a 4-14 x 50 mtc viper with no problems, the only thing I can think of as a tip would be to leave the cobra end clamp of the dsa loose while you focus the front of the cobra on your cross hairs as sometimes when the lens winds out it hits the back of the sight, otherwise are you sure the scope paralax is set correctly?

I use them a lot, the guys in the back really know what theyre talking about and will always take time to give you advice

I reload my .223 with an rcbs powder trickler and check each load with a cheap lee beam scale and would say that 1/5 of the loads go back in the pot (but then maybe Im a bit too picky).

Ive got a gearbox ive took out of an s3 lightweight, if hes interested give me a pm

hold 600 buy 500 on mine.

Ive got the pure highway and use it mostly in the tractors but also when going on long car journeys. When theres a good signal it works very well but when I drove up to aviemore I was surprised how many places there were with no coverage.

Ive got a scoutguard sg550 which has performed well. I think they cost about £150 but have the same features of £400 bushnells.

Golf can be graphic too. No laughing matter, its ammo for the anti golfers.

My 595 is the best rifle ive ever owned, reliable and accurate but I cant comment on ammo as its a 223

Garlands near Tamworth have been good in the past, theyve got a good selection and the shooting ground means you can try before you buy. Just go when theyre not busy.

I dont think 1500 would even get you a pile of problems!. Unless your handy with the spanners I wouldnt look at anything under 4000.

ya mean there takin you as you dont drive.
What day you going sparks? Let me know and ill bring that ir lens with me.

Looks like its a ruger then, cheers for the advice.

I would personaly go for the beretta, a good second hand one is better than a new cheap gun. It seems a bit dear though, I would of thought 350 was nearer the mark.

Im after a cheap .22 semi for a dedicated night vision scoped rabbit rifle. I was going to go for a 10/22 but after looking on guntrader I noticed the walther g22 were roughly the same price and thought the extra mag capacity might come in useful. Does any one have any experience of them as the only review I could find was an american one which said the best grouping it could manage was 1 1/2 " @ 50 yrds.(!)

Thanks for the replies, Ive picked up the ex disco engine and a new (secondhand) box so should get started over the next few days. Everyones split 50/50 on wether to ditch the turbo so ive decided to keep it for now and rebuild the old box in preperation. Will contact you if I get stuck. Cheers.

Seeing as ive got to change the gearbox on the landy im going to change the engine while im at it. Anyone done this conversion? if so, any tips?
-
It must be just me but I love driving defenders on road, I just find them really comfy!
-
arrse, for the humour and kit reviews.

Will it crack off if you put it in low and try pulling away?
It worked with a Morris Minor but may not work with a landy and that setup though
This works with brakes but not the handbrake, theres a good chance youll **** the gearbox.
-
The handbrake mechanism is similar to a drum brake and is located just behind the gearbox. It should free off with a clout from a hammer but if it doesnt then slacken off the adjuster (like a nut on the back plate) and pull off the drum. You can do this without undoing the prop.

got one of these mean machines as my first car.(fiat panda) cost 200 quid.
there was a land rover club who came down the locall quarry ever sunday.
we would watch them it looked great fun. we went back after they were gone and
attacked the corse in the panda. we also had great fun and got round 95% of what they did.
who needs a landy
I did see one of these at a 4wd course once fitted with dumper truck wheels/tyres and it went anywhere!
