This happened to me on a jcb loadall and the friction set the hay on fire, luckily managed to get the hay out before much damage done.

From what I remember about heat treatment (at school) : files are made from high carbon steel, heating them up to red heat and letting them cool slowly softens it to normal steel strength allowing working of the metal, then to get it back to the correct hardness you have to heat it gently untill it gets to the right colour then cool it quickly, usually dipping it in oil. I dont know what the colour is for a knife but a screwdriver point is blue.

I was erecting balconies on a tall building in Enfield when one of the residents shouted out of the window what was happening, they were terrified that their building would be next, we went to the roof to watch canary wharf but obviously nothing happened but we did notice a lot of fighter planes overflying London. I have since visited ground zero whilst in NY, the size of the hole has to be seen to be believed its more like a quarry. Everyone you speak to there has a story to tell.

To clean silencers, fill up with wd40 then leave upside down to drain out. As for moderators I recommend a pressure washer full of bleach and a stiff yardbrush, it brought stuart p up a treat!

It would be worth ringing around farms, theres a lot of damp stuff about this year and if you can buy it before its dried it should be cheaper. Last year prices were 160- 190per ton, this year its 120- 150
