dazz, low mill are alright but they have a lot of tat on the shelf, also its a club so a lot of the members stand around talking so you wait ages to get served . bit pricey as well, a mate as just bought a leupold 4 x 40 scope off him and he charged nearly £300 ,which I thought was a rip off ,considering the size of it. If you are still going let me know and I will pm my address and you could pop in for a pint or a cuppa if you wish,you will be going right past my front door. regards happy

I have a lot of permission around penrith,(pigeons,rabbits, fox ) and deer stalking in dumfries & galloway , if you want to have a couple of outings then let me know. there will be lots of rabbit lamping coming off shortly ,the areas I shoot are only 12-15 miles from carlisle, so quite handy regards happy

hi dazz, I took bj fishing up to penrith for some pigeons on sunday afternoon, we dragged around some fields for an hour or so,not much about,we then seen the farmer who told me some lads had been on just before he had cut the barley and had a good day with 300 pigeons & crows. we then went to look at one of the estates I have and found a load of pigeons & crows feeding on a very small patch of laid barley, we set up our decoys & hide and shot for about 3 hours, we ended up collecting 61 pigeons & several crows. I have seen more foxs dead on the road than I have with the lamp lately. plenty of rabbits around I just have not had time to go for them, should make an effort now that the crops coming in , there will be plenty on the stubbles cheers happy

are you applying for a .22 centrefire,?? if so only say that on your application form, if you apply for a .223 for example , that is all you can purchase. if you apply for a .22 c/f this will give you several options, e.i .22 hornet .222 .223 .22.250 .220 swift etc once you have your variation you can please yourselve.

we shot 70 over standing barley on sunday afternoon, looked like they had been on it all day, very hot weather did not put them off,most were shot on a tiny piece of laid stuff which the crows had knocked down.

whitehaven, marra, I have a mate who lives in dearham, there was also a clay pigeon shoot, dont know if its still running though.
