everyone will be squaded so you and your brother will be on the same squad. and with only 1 person from each squad shooting at any one time sharing isnt a problem.
shaun
That sounds good to me.
-
well seeing as its a sporting set up he could actually share your gun but if you want to bring 2 then thats ok...
shaun
*club gun
* i think i will have to get our treasurer to buy a club Perrazzi then i could look after it for him....lol
Sharing my gun is ok ?, I've never done clays so have no idea of the procedure.
Good luck with the club Perrazzi !!

@ smiiithy, I see your getting some practice in.
Shaun, will it be ok for my brother to replace my shooting buddy as he cannot make it now. (lucky fella will be in Lanzarote)
Only trouble is that my brother does not have his SGC yet so will he be ok using my spare gun or does it need to be your clubs gun?
Cheers
John

If it's wet & muddy I wear wellies, anything else and it's leather boots.

Thanks Paul, gun just as described (excellent), great guy to deal with.
It was great to meet you Paul and a pleasure to do business with you, thanks also for the glasses and a lovely cup of tea.

Nice shooting.

Very sad about PC Barker losing his life, I really feel for his wife and 4 children.
@robmiller, How's all your family coping with the floods, all well I hope.
-
PS I used to sometimes get boots a size up for wearing thick socks does anybody do this with wellies?
I got a size up for extra socks (also cos I bought from internet so couldn't try them on) but with neoprene muck boots you don't need extra socks, they are already very warm.
Your lucky, you can go and try the boots on to make sure you get the right size. Don't get them too big or they'll be a pain in the ***** if your planning to do a lot of walking in them.
-
If your on a budget Mike, I would go and try on those rydales at YT and see how they fit and what they feel like.
The neoprene lining should make them a warm boot and try to check the sole is pretty rigid, you don't want soft/bendy soles or your feet will ache.
-
Very sad situation and my heart goes out to the lady (and her dog) as she must have been terrified.
The owner should get picked up very quickly as the footage is pretty good so he will get recognised.
-
Mike, I use muckboots (tay) which I find to be very good but here's a pic of the rydales for you.

Rob, I hope all your family come out of this with all their buildings and property intact.
It must be awful for them but I'm sure they'll be ok.
-
Don't despair mate - I've another used set but they're in work. Only got the black lens but if you can wait for a week or so until I get back off leave and don't mind some ingrained Afghanistan dust and sweat then they're yours for the price of postage.
Cheers Paul,
I'll speak to you on Saturday about them.

Funnily enough I've just sold the spare set I had to some Italian collector on fleabay. He paid considerably more than the norm too. Lunatic!!
Just my luck, again.

Thanks for the reply Steve, good info.I bought a pair but although the visibility and fit were good I didn't really get on with the colours - I found the grey too dark and the yellow too harsh. However, I passed them on to my daughter and she really likes them.I've used them a lot. Get issued them and have to wear them when in Afghanistan. I used the yellow lens and found them ok. They're light enough so you forget you're wearing them after a while. You can pick them up for around £25 or so on fleabay and that's for an unused complete set.Hi Paul, I've been looking on the old bay of e for them and just missed out on some that went for £11.50.
I'll keep looking and hope to find some cheap ones, unless you've got some hidden away Paul.

I'm thinking of getting some of these glasses and was wondering if anyone has used them and if so, what are they like?
They would be for walk up/rough shooting and the odd clays.

before we go overboard on the cartridges can i just point out its a 50 bird sporting so i would think 50 carts plus a few extra would suffice.....
however if you still want/need 5/6 boxes then its not a problem, just thought i would point it out.
shaun
Sean, my 4 boxes are to split between me and my buddy. We normally use Eley pigeon fibre when were out in the field so if we need a few extra carts we'll just use those if thats ok.
