*club gun  * i think i will have to get our treasurer to buy a club Perrazzi then i could look after it for him....lol

Sharing my gun is ok ?, I've never done clays so have no idea of the procedure.

Good luck with the club Perrazzi !!

  2. @ smiiithy, I see your getting some practice in.

Shaun, will it be ok for my brother to replace my shooting buddy as he cannot make it now. (lucky fella will be in Lanzarote)

Only trouble is that my brother does not have his SGC yet so will he be ok using my spare gun or does it need to be your clubs gun?

    Cheers

    John

  3. PS I used to sometimes get boots a size up for wearing thick socks does anybody do this with wellies?

I got a size up for extra socks (also cos I bought from internet so couldn't try them on) but with neoprene muck boots you don't need extra socks, they are already very warm.

Your lucky, you can go and try the boots on to make sure you get the right size. Don't get them too big or they'll be a pain in the ***** if your planning to do a lot of walking in them. :good:

  4. If your on a budget Mike, I would go and try on those rydales at YT and see how they fit and what they feel like.

The neoprene lining should make them a warm boot and try to check the sole is pretty rigid, you don't want soft/bendy soles or your feet will ache. :good:

  5. Don't despair mate - I've another used set but they're in work. Only got the black lens but if you can wait for a week or so until I get back off leave and don't mind some ingrained Afghanistan dust and sweat then they're yours for the price of postage.

    Cheers Paul,

I'll speak to you on Saturday about them.

  6. I bought a pair but although the visibility and fit were good I didn't really get on with the colours - I found the grey too dark and the yellow too harsh. However, I passed them on to my daughter and she really likes them.
Thanks for the reply Steve, good info. :whistling:

I've used them a lot. Get issued them and have to wear them when in Afghanistan. I used the yellow lens and found them ok. They're light enough so you forget you're wearing them after a while. You can pick them up for around £25 or so on fleabay and that's for an unused complete set.

Hi Paul, I've been looking on the old bay of e for them and just missed out on some that went for £11.50.

I'll keep looking and hope to find some cheap ones, unless you've got some hidden away Paul. :innocent:

  7. before we go overboard on the cartridges can i just point out its a 50 bird sporting so i would think 50 carts plus a few extra would suffice.....

however if you still want/need 5/6 boxes then its not a problem, just thought i would point it out.

    shaun

Sean, my 4 boxes are to split between me and my buddy. We normally use Eley pigeon fibre when were out in the field so if we need a few extra carts we'll just use those if thats ok.
