  1. ah you could be worse boys!

over here half our government is made up of convicted terrorists whove been trying to kill us for years, the other half is made up of religious nutballs whove been inciting people to kill for years....

  2. oh oh oh dammit!

i have a pic of a scope mounted on my benelli 12 bore somewhere, cant find it now. it was good for long shots on anything that wasnt moving (using no 4's and a tight choke) but wasnt worth a damn for moving targets; took it off in the end (though still have the receiver mount upstairs).

  3. dunno about not cleaning it, i always keep my 10/22 well cleaned and never have too much trouble.

had the same problem once though but i just bought about 20 different brands of ammo and tried them out, managed to get a 1" group at 100m using remington yellow jackets (and a 24 magnification power scope...) so thats all i buy now.

ps maybe shooting from the car could be a problem, trying shooting prone sometime, see what happens.

  4. im having a bit of trouble with my benelli when shooting clays. it doesnt seem to like 28gram 7.5's very much, sometimes it shoots ok without a problem, other times it blunty refuses to cycle the 2nd cartridge out of the mag. i never have this problem with 32 gram 6's or anything. has anyone come across this before? theyre enertia driven so i thought the lighter loads maybe just didnt have enough power to cycle the action, but when ive looked into it more i see montefeltros used alot for clays and there doesnt seem to be any problems with them!

ps gun gets a full strip down, clean and oil after every time its used... :good:

  5. im heading to latvia in january to meet the girlfriends family, now her brother wants to take me hunting. thing is -40 temperatures over there are the norm, so i been stocking up on cold weather gear; didnt want to go over board so i reckoned jacket and trouser liners for my combats would do the job without having to buy a load of new kit.

has anyone here used them in these sort of temperatures, and if so did they work ok??

    cheers :good:

  6. Another film that makes me glad am british not american !

come to think of it there not been any films really about british SF, plenty on the americans ! Would love to see a decent film made about the embassy seige over here or on things from NI or gulf 1 !

ni? id LOVE to see a film on loughgall... heh heh heh!!

heres an idea, why not just bomb the oil tanker; all that oil would cause a lovely little bang going off, might take a few pirates with it too, but i reckon thats about the only place in the world you wont get celebs flocking into to clean oil of seagulls lmao!!!! :good::lol:;)

  7. i had man flu yesterday, had to take the day off work to recover.

i soldiered on though, told the girlfriend not to worry about me and to go on to work, i didnt want to impose on her so i only gave her a small list of essentials (lucozade, jam donuts, 20 regal filter) to pick up for me on her way home.... :good:

  8. im headin to latvia in january to meet my womans family, her brother wants to take me out boar hunting, should be interesting...

she never complains about me hunting tho, cos her family do it so much, luckily for me she doesnt like guns so ive never had the "can i come too?" conversation lol!!!

  9. Thanks for the replies everyone, it has really made a me feel better. I reckon I felt sad because the bodies where still warm when touched, and one of the bird was still flapping around which added to the guilt.

I'm not into driven shooting either. I've been beating before but I alway felt there was something wrong with it, but that is just me.

I'll stick to clays and pest shooting, plus the odd one for the pot.

I'll probally put some pics up saturday :good:

ive been shooting for a few years and all i can say is hunting is a personal thing, do what youre ok with. i dont like driven shoots either, doesnt seem very sportsman like to me, but hey, thats just my opinion. clays are ok (especially if its just to wind up the waistcoat brigade by turning up with a black mossberg pump... sorry!!) but i see them just as practice or a fun way to waste a couple of hours. mostly i do pest control - if youve ever seen a newborn lamb after crows have been at it youll never feel guilty about shooting them again...

find something you like and stick to it. simple :D
