Went over to my sons farm yesterday he as a professional pigeon shooter walking 1000 acre of rape daily in daylight hours, just had the quad bike stolen 9 moths old, the pro told me he had shot 100 in December, but yesterday was very slow nothing about, we did try though. Merry Christmas to you all.

Anyone shooting many pigeons @ the moment? This time last year I had well over 100 by the 18 Dec, it was cold thought, nothing to speak of this year, we've shot 1200 rats thought, about getting to the end of them now, thank god.

Up in north Lincolnshire we are starting to see some large flocks this past week or so, but on the large estates where game shooting is in full swing, no going there then, around me on the moors starting to look better, but this morning one shot one retrieve for the dog never came back, will have a look this afternoon on plenty of land I have in the area, may get one or two shots, last year at this time it was cold & I had well over 100 in the begging of December by the end over 200.

Ho,and what is a 31 2inch ? Do you mean 31 inch barrel and a 2inch chamber that's only 50mm? or do you mean a 31 & a half inch barrel. If so is it a 3inch chamber?

How old is it please 2 years or 3 year do you have problem with it loading say 24 or 28 gram cartridges.

I never stop shooting rape better than pea`s, going tonight 5pm til well` they stop. it`s nice in the sun. off to the TT next week so give then a rest from me for a week or so, then give em hell again. keep your eyes on the grass land too, you can often get a good night or two on the green stuff.

yes I did use AS for 28grams and 24 for clay shooting but at over £200 per 1000 for me to make them it is far cheaper to buy eley olympic traps @ £150 per 1000, bought 3000 the other week for £145 per 1000. unless you can tel me differant? & know of cheaper suplyers of lead shot and powder etc? thanks for the load for 32 grams with Vecan A1 I will give it a go.

the best way dav3p is to buy a varying charge bar best thing I ever bought for my mec, get a good set of scales and you can fine tune loads to perfection. the bushes can vary from one powder to another you will soon have saved money, I got mine off e-bay for about £20 but they are not a lot of monety new. Has any one got a good load for a 70mm case 6 shot 32grm lead CX2000 type 209 primer, plastic wade, Vectan A1 powder for pigeon shooting! I thought I would try 21.50 grains of A1 powder but if you have a load ready to go that would be brill.
