cheers mark 1 i have a 12 volt 7amp hr battery i use for lamping so this should do then how long will this run a magnet for and do you keep them on all the time you are in the field cheers shawn

well went out all day yesterday when we got to the fields the pigeons were on the rape so we thought great walked the birds off then set up and sat and waited and waited and waited dam birds never saw another woody all day hardly and non near us at all so all in all a complete disaster but hey at least i was out and about and not decorating shawn

been out all morning doing some reccy covered around 30 square miles in the disco checking all the rape fields but found no pigeons on them they all seemed to be in the trees still decided i had had enough so started to make my way home went past last field i have permision on a saw some very low flying pigeons i parked the disco and went for a walk to the brow of the hill wow saw arond 1000 birds feeding on the rape all took off when they saw me so i scrambled into a nearby hedge with my b/nocs stayed for around 45 mins and the birds kept coming onto the rape in good numbers i am now off home to polish the 12 bore and sort my hide gear out ready for a full days fun tommorrow i will let you all know how i get on monday pm cheers shawn

vulcha accourding to my local firearms officer there is no minimum land requirement for a rim fire a lot depends like you say on roads and footpaths etc

have any of you seen any winter flocks forming yet or have any of you seen any pigeons on the rape yet, will they get on the rape if we get a cold spell and how long will it need to stay cold for before they hit the rape in any numbers cheers shawn

peejay i have been to around 30 farms in the last few days trying to get land i dressed smartly in trousers and smart jacket with my company name on it i also gave out my business cards to prove i am no idiot and took along my basc membership ALL TO NO AVAIL !!!! i know people say keep trying but i must admit you do get a bit p****d off when you keep getting told no and some of the farmers are dam right rude in telling you so whats your secret i have tried free m.o.t. tests cheap cheap tyres and helping out on the land but still NO NO NO !!! does anyone know of any suppliers that do a bulk deal on cartridges (cheaper than the average shooting ground) so myself and a friend can buy a load and save a few quid shawn

is that better aled not the best on a computer and i only type with one finger as for the pigeons going slower it depends which way the wind is blowing today is was in my face with all the birds shot on a right to left flight dont know if that makes it any good or not but i enjoyed it! cheers shawn

HI ALL MYSELF AND A FRIEND WENT AND DID 100 CLAYS AT GARLANDS TODAY FINISHED ABOUT 2PM DRIVING BACK WE SAW A FEW PIGEONS FLYING AT MAC 5 IN THE WIND SO WE THOUGHT WE WOULD GRAB THE LAST HOUR TUCKED INTO A HEDGE ROW UNDER A FLIGHT LINE BINGO SHOT 12 IN 45 MINUTES WHEN ON THERE WAY HOME TO ROOST HAVE TRIED THIS BEFORE ON STILL DAYS WITH VERY POOR RESULTS NOT SURE IF THE WIND WAS A HELP OR NOT BUT IF SO I AM HOPEING FOR WIND TOMMORROW CHEERS SHAWN

hi all does anyone know where myself and a shooting friend could use our clay pigeon trap for practising we have approached loads of farmers but they are saying no due to either noise or the mess the clays leave (we have offered to pick up as much mess as possible) we would be willing to pay a fee or help the land owner out on the land i also own a garage/m. o. t. station and tyre and exhaust company so there could be cheap cheap vehicle maintenance available cheers

hi pete i have been out all day today on 4 different rape fields with loads of pigeons around not a single pigoen came into any of my decoys and i never saw a single one feeding anywhere else on the rape either they are holding up in the trees big time near me but i can wait they will feed on it sooner or later and i will be waiting but as for my next couple of days holiday leave tommorrow i will take the ferret out and shotgun some bunnies and wednesday might do some clays keep us posted your end cheers

hi pigeon master i had a l200 warrior with all the trimmings new on a 53 plate great vehicle in some respects but **** in others the ride was very wallowy on the duel carriage way near me it seemed more like i was on a ship than in a car tha warrior comes with diff lock but no abs brakes i was out shooting after a damp few days and got stuck on a small grass incline with diff lock engaged i admit it only had the bridgestone tyres on it from the factory but i still thought it was very poor i had the sports utility top for it nice and secure but cost £1500.00 wow it was not very good on fuel did around 23 mpg but mostly around town the gear box was a bit crunchy also reported it to the dealer and they admitted to me there was a problem ( a mate of mine has had 3 boxes) the body work is very flimsy aswell i had to have dent master out 3 times within 8 months to get small dents out the doors. i once pushed on the tailgate with the hand brake off to hold it in place whilst coupling to a trailor and put a bloody hand print in it any way to cut a long story short i sold it and purchased a 53 plate discovery td5 commercial, completly different build class in my opinion but only 2 seats but same tax benifits the only thing i can fault it on is its sluggish at low revs my mate has a navara which we also use for shooting and this is a far better vehicle than the l200 in my opinion hope this is of help to you shawn9914
