  1. Hi, I had venom weihrauch's for years, both when they were trading as venom arms and as webley venom. Your best bet is to try and look into 'webley venom'. It was a good 4 years since i sold my last lazaglide. They were trading in Birmingham thelast time i sent one off for a retune. If you can get your hands on one, they are well worth the money. I have had a HW77, HW80 and a HW97 all lazaglided (venom tune is the budget tune, lazaglide is the full works). Best of luck mate!
  2. Familiarize the dog with the dummy in the house, then once the dog is retrieving the dummy ok at home, progress to throwing the dummy up an alleyway, a one way alleyway, like at the side of your house with a gate on one side or something. Throw it towards the gate/wall away from you, send the dog for the retrieve, there is no other distractions for the dog, and once the dummy is picked up, the only way the dog can go is back towards you....Minimum distraction, easy for your dog to understand. This encourages a good solid retrieve, also, it encourages a 'straight to you' retrieve....Not via every interesting sight/smell! Hope this helps. Bear in mind, retrieving takes longer for some dogs to grasp than others, also, don't over do it....And don't lose your temper with the dog.
  3. Cheers Mec, i'll look into giving it a go, and yes, reloading your own cartridges probably gives you that extra edge of confidence as does tying your own flies!
  4. 7's are ok for pigeons of the clay variety!
  5. I have the 3.5 inch magnum and haven't had any trouble with it at all! had no problems ejecting light loads in 2+3/4 inch right up to bb in 3.5 inch. Keep it cean, keep the o ring well lubed and it shouldgive you no grief......But i guess im one of the lucky ones!
  6. Welcome Mec, do you save much money reloading your own? i have a 16 bore and i find the cartridges a little expensive! Have always been curious about the reloading process.....but that's as far as it has gone!!
  7. Hi, I am looking for a decent case for my old John Robertson Side by side. Wooden or leather and lined. If you have any or know of any for sale i would appreciate a PM, maybe with a picture? Cheers Steve

    Ok people

Keep your eyes peeled for Pen Deryn whiskey. Its a welsh whiskey. Other than that, i would say Glen morrangie or laphroiag. Laphroaig is nice if you fancy a change, a nice smokey flavour to it.
  9. I was thinking of joining up as a member at westlands, as it's only up the road, as long as i go regularly i will save a fortune as it seems like a good discount for members.
  10. Hi Will, Nope, ain't got my new gun yet....Went to see an AYA no.2 today....Wasn't as good as i hoped (condition wise).....My search for a nice side by side continues! I have left my lanber at A.Browns sporting guns in carlisle as I ain't really had that much interest here, so if anyone would like to see it without feeling obliged to buy, it is in carlisle for viewing.
  11. Wasn't a badger was it? They can move pretty quick when they want to, its doubtful it would be a fox cub at this time of year. Also as for squeaking it in, most animals would turn to a squeak.....But only a fox would come in for a closer look......
  12. Hi, I have for sale my Lanber 12g over/under for £350. Its a mulit choke ejector and is in very good condition. PM me for pictures as i cannot upload them on here for some reason. Only reason i am selling it cheaper than you will usually see them is because that is what i have been offered in part exchange, i will be part exchanging the gun in this week for an AYA no.2. So if your interested...Be quick! Prefer face to face deal, and SGC holders only. Cheers Steve
  13. Yep, i got a bit of ground for lamping bunnies, and a good pigeon shoot after the barley harvest. Have mainly been wildfowling over the past month or two.I'm pretty new to the area in all honesty. From south wales, so only now finding my feet in terms of shooting contacts. So is it mainly ferreting you do? if so, we could have a spot of sport with the bolting bunnies and the shotguns....If your game of course
  14. Hi Trigger, i would definately be up for a bit of hunting. Not much going about my shoot at the moment, although, i will be extremely busy in august/september on the barley stubble with the pigeons. Whereabouts are you? I'm in dumfries.
  15. Hi, the gun is immaculate, I am not sure exactly how old the gun is, but judging by the condition it couldn't be more than a few year old. As for the length of the stock, i haven't measured it. I would imagine they are allstandard size on that model of lanber. Since i have owned the gun ( a little over a year or so), i haven't put a lot of cartridges through it, probably around the thousand mark. It shoots as it should and looks as it should. Cheers Steve
  16. Hi all, i have just climbed into the attic to dig out the original box for the gun, according to the sticker on the side of the box the model is as follows: Model 97 EST LCH SPORTING. Hope that helps guys!
  17. Hi, To be honest i'm not sure which model it is exactly. I have tried looking online to get the exact model but no such joy. It is multichoke, comes with 5 chokes and it has ejectors.the side plates are fully engraved (not like the new sporting deluxe). I can send some pics via email if you would like?
  18. Hi, I just measured the barrels, from end to end, they are 29.5 inches. Not sure if that is the way to measure the length of the barrels? Cheers Steve
  19. Hi, Just thought i would also say the lanber is a multi choke and it has ejectors. Cheers
  20. Cheers, i'll check out the guntrader website
  21. Gordon, its a lanber sporter i believe (hard to distinguish models!), its multi choke and ejectors. can email pics across, but for some reaso i cant upload them on here. I'm looking for around £350 for it (i payed £400 for it last year secondhand. It is in remarkably good condition.
  22. Hi, I have a lanber 12g over/under that i'm looking to sell/swap/part exchange for for another side by side.
