  1. Hey Stuartp, that looks bloody excellent, its hard to believe its the same wood. Did you use anything special to bring out the woodgrain. It makes you wonder why they varnish guns when they can look so good oiled. I wonder how much can be made doing this for a living? cheers Mark
  2. A couple of stocks that might be of interest on eBay at the moment to you Browning sufferers and one for a Beretta 686.
  3. Happy to travel between Newark and Wetherby for rabbit shooting, and happy to join existing shooters, Any offers considered, cheers Mark
  4. thanks, this is all really helpful, and I am slowly building up courage to have a go myself, although i think i'll wait a bit longer to see if there are any more useful postings, I am sure there will be, so keep them coming, regards Mark
  5. these are nice guns, i bought my wife a 20g one last year and its great, a non ejector o/u, but great to shoot, well made and lovely action (and the guns not bad either   )

  11. Yep, thats what I was thinking, try him on a different food, he's probably food high and just too much energy to burn. I have mine on james wellbeloved and she's pretty active but not overly so. The dog is still young remember and will probably calm down.. Switch the food, and feed just once or twice a day.
  12. Good pie lady, but those barrells are LONG, Size obviously matters in the pie family. lucky b*@~ard, what a gun!!!!
  13. HI, if you don't want anythying posh then I'd have a look at the investarm, but as i say, its not posh, but cheap and cheerful. (you'll getone for £200) I'd hold out for a 20 bore browning or beretta, but you'll struggle to get one for less than £600. The lanbers are also quite nice, but thin on the ground, I bought my wife a denton and kennel 20g o/u non ejectorand its good too, and of course if you were prepared to travel then you open up a larger market, best wishes mark
  14. Hi, no, I have a 12 bore Beretta 686 e sporting which I use for clays and just fancied trying a beavertail fore-end, but I also have a 20 bore Beretta 686s field gun, and as you can imagine over the years what with rain and blood from pigeon shooting the blueing on barrells has worn. It stills looks ok, but i was thinking of bringing it back to new condition during the winter months, so not a rebuild as such, just a bit of TLC, merry christmas, mark
  15. Has anyone tried the laser simulators for clay pigeon shooting that I have seen advertised in sporting gun mag? I know that the best practice is to get out there and shoot some clays, but just wondered if anyone had tried this at home ( my wife complains of the noise and holes in walls when i use real shells :( ) cheers Marl
