Selling my mk 70,its mint condition,sees 50 - 75 shells a week,lovely wood.gun is 4 years old. Is cleaned after every use. Am after £1450,can email pics if interested cheers

the chain will pull up from the bar a bit but doesnt bend sideways like you say Il remember about the oil. looking closer at the chain i have found small burrs where it has jumped off, this makes it hard to push into the groove of the bar thnks for all the help by the way

Ok, just to double check! have you had the side casing off? ( i think you have) if so with the chain and bar removed will the sprocket spin when the engine is revved? edit to add sorry just reread the first post, now with the engine running check the chain brake function IE stops the sprocket from turning and will load the engine, if that ok then the problem has got to be bar or chain, has the saw run out of chain oil? Yes sprocket spins and stops when use brake. Just checked the oil and it has non in, was sold as ready to run, got it new of ebay.i should have checked. Would having the chain too tight stop the sprocket turning? cheers

im a newbe to chainsaws. no dirt in bar, wheel at end of bar moves freely. the chain brakes the lever in front of the handle isnt it?The chainsaw is a mountfield mc 382 i believe cheers

was using chainsaw other day. Chain became loose and jumped off bar. put it back on but the chain wont go round, the engines revs etc but no movement. took chain off again and started it up and the cogg that the chain sits on goes round, im guessing that the chain has become damaged in some way thus it wont go round anyone got any ideas? cheers

Cheers for replys, how much does this polishing cost LG?Its just a cheapo gun for pigeons so dont want to be spending ££ on it really. Hopefully will be ok when i clean it. if its not and does have some marks is it ok to shoot and if i keep it clean will that make it last and stop any more damage? cheers

Im buying a sbs off a bloke at clay club next sat, saw it this sat, fits nice etc. barrels were dirty as it had been used but saw specks/dints inside barrel, i think, is this pitting?im going to clean it next sat before buy it so i can see.if it has got marks inside barrel should i steer clear?Its only a £50 special for pigeons. I just dont want to be buying a dangerous gun or one thats not going to last cheers

Im after some netting but dont want to be spending £40 yet on stealth net yet as dont know if there are pigeons on my permission as only been up once for a reccy. I have some net, looks like stuf for army surplus place which will do for roof on hide but need some for sides. seen some on ebay, think its £16 (new), that any good?

Yeh, i know that one or two visits wont be enough to gather all info i need. Im going to go in morning next time. Spaek to farmer and go when drillings go in. I just thought id take gun and set up under sitty tree and see if can take a few out. Surely il be learning by watching there reaction and see where they go two. I only saw about 10 pigeon on sunday so il be hoping there is more to watch next time. Thanks for everys advice so far

Cheers for the advice cranfield. i will use non toxic shot if i shoot any duck but like you say he mite not want any shooting, im going to leave it a while before i ask so that i can get to know farmer and hopefully have a few good bags of pigeon then ask. I dont want loads of duck, just the odd one to make crispy aramatic duck pancakes . no longstock, dont know what veg is going in yet but will find out next time im up there when the farmer has longer to speak to me, hes sorting me a map out to, i didnt even have to ask for one which i thought was good. Im looking forward to getting back again to carry on with the reccys and perpare for some shooting. Would the pigeons decoy out of the row of trees i mentioned onto this crop which looks like grass at moment? cheers

Thanks for all replys. Well today i finally managed to get out for a reccy. Not the biggest farm but still some permission. Found out boundaries of farmer and then set off with bino's. hardly any pigeons about and the ones that were, were just sat in a row of trees, so suppose iv found a popualr sitty tree as iv seen them there a year or so ago when was walking. Didnt get chance to speak to farmer much as he was busy but he said hes got some veg going into two fields and expexts thats where mr woody will be. I am hopefullly going to get up again soon so can find out when this veg is being planted and what else is in his fields. at the min there is just, what looks like clumps of grass in lines, would this be wheat?excuse my ignorance . I discovered a pond there, with ducks on, so hopefully will be able to have a duck or two. The two fields where the veg is going is near to pond and there are a number of large trees.so from what iv read i uderstand that the pigeon will sit in surrounding trees when not flying. so although i saw hardly any pigeons i think there could be some sport when the farmer puts some food out for them or when the wheat comes up if they feed on that.

Anyone heard of this make?iv seen one, looks nice gun, went onto guntrader to see what they go for but they dont seem to exist . Waht they worth?saw this one for £425

Had my first bit of permission fpr couplev weeks now but not been able to get up there yet. Am planning to go on sunday for a reccy to establish size of farm, what crops are down and going down etc etc. How do i go about finding flight lines? and what else should i be looing for/doing? Is it best to just go with my binos and watch or should i take gun with me to move pigeons on if there in trees? regards
