I actually now work with the guys at the yorkshire game fair,firstly it was never set up as a substitute for the cla, and secondly it wasent their fault that the gas board started digging up the road two days before the show started.
This year they have moved the show over to where the cla showsite was instantly giving three more access routes into the event to ensure better traffic flow.
How you can compare the yorkshire to selby is beyond me ??
Last year was the first year for the yorkshire,massive amounts of work over the last 10 months has seen it change dramatically.
Their is now 2 main arenas to accomodate the specialist displays.
Just about every section has a new head of section in place and these new managers are the best in their choosen field.
The shooting line is now been run by Petter Snetterfield who ran the Cla.There is a womans competition,a family competition and a young shots competition and also a pairs competition.A first shots coach to give the kids a indroduction in to shooting.

The dog section this year is massive.i dont think any show in the country this year will match the dog events too many to list right now but take my word for it.
Fishing....charles jardine and rodger beck,fishermen dont come better than these catching and giving lessons in the lake.

flying his birds in the ring and a never been done in the uk display with salukis.
60 odd trade stands booked in up to now and hardly any of those are people selling the same sort of stuff.
i could bang on all day about the new additions to this show but the bottom line is we dont do monster trucks and motorbikes and anything just to try and fill a ring up.We are trying to keep everything counrty and game related.
Theres just a few of the improvements,this show had its first year and there were lessons to be learnt,we listened to what was said and took action.
Selby has been going for 10 years and you can still get round it in 10 minutes.

Of course the cla was at this venue but that show has been going 50 years so hardly something to judge a new show by.
