  1. YES YES YES,they have shown there loyalty, and the way they have been treated is outrageous, they are loyal, respectful and genuine people, after all dont we let most people into the UK and what have most of them done for us,OH YES sap our taxs, nhs, housing, etc, etc.By all means let them in,but if they want to settle here so badly,3 years National service might be a good starting point for them, but if this was the case i reckon most of them might look elsewhere
  2. I know how you feel mate, crows can be very tricky to shoot,i shoot over a farm with 1000+ pigs of various ages penned around the farm and crows are a big problem especially in the next few months, when the young ones are about, had some cracking bags last year ,best bag to date was 125 birds, but then again i went out on wednesday (just gone)and fired 0 shells, but i know the good times are a coming BB
  3. Some awesome speed shooting that mate, nearly belt fed,sod carrying your shells to the hide mate
  4. Both mate boresnakes are a great bit of kit,but you still need to give your guns a proper clean from time to time, and as good as boresnakes are nothing cleans your barrels like a good old rodding
  5. Have a go at making some yourself, all you need is a foam roll mat,use your exsisting wings as a template, and paint or spray the wing bars on,really cheap and easy to do good luck  BB
  6. I use to shoot plastic, but prefer to use fibre nowadays, simply because my shooting is mainly over land holding livestock, and to be perfectly honest i dont think theres much between them.Yes i know fibre costs a little more per-thou,but most people like you to use fibre around where i am,even most of the local clay shoots are switching from plastic over to fibre, and if you have a good day over the decoys and do use plastic i will always try to clear up as many shot-cups as i can find at the end of the session,it only takes a few minutes to clear up,but could take some while to find a new shoot if you upset the farmer
  7. I have plenty of crow decoys yermaun, the post is simply to help make cheap cradles and help people save a few quid in the present financial climate, money that would possibly be better spent on cartridges, and hence more time in the field shooting.Any person who shoots, knows a decoy is simply a aid to get the day started, and once you have enough shot birds down in your patten, most people replace decoys with real birds, simply because real birds look more real compared to decoys (funny that) By all means use crow decoys at all times, but crows aint stupid and to shoot decent bags real really is BEST!! BB
  8. Try this one,buy yourself a pigeon cradle but just the one, about 3 quid then go to your local dry-cleaners and ask for a few wire-coat hangers(most will give for free)but worst case will cost u 10p each, then when you have some spare time duplicate the bought cradle with the coat hanger, takes about 3 mins per cradle, spray black .Once you have a few crows down in your patten remove decoys for dead birds on cradles, much the same as you would for pigeon, and they move in the wind as they arent as rigid as the shop bought ones, and if you loose one or two,at that price you wont really be too upset, and if you still have problems getting the crows in,spray them grey and try for pigeon
  9. Hi all,Turbo33 has been in touch and the slot has been offered to him, pending arrangements,so sorry to say position full for the time anyway Take care all and straight shooting
  10. Sorry, wrong info when i said 70-80 birds for 5 guns this was for each of the 5 guns shooting, some serious black stuff around here, and i also failed to mention i work shifts 4-days on 4-days off so im not limited to weekends, look forward to hearing from you..rabbits and pigeon good too!!!!
  11. Dont despair turbo33 i live not too far from you,Church Crookham infact, and have some excellent shooting locally, especially crows,2 of us shoot the land 600 acres. It will soon be time to control the young crows, and we will be looking for experienced guns to help make a dent in the population,we have a couple of mates who help us out at this time of year, but if your interested im sure we can sort something out, maybe we could arrange to go clay shooting to see how we get on?do u shoot gib bks near blackbushe?and i have enough crow decoying kit to lend you if needed? please let me know if your interested, last year five guns shooting averaging a bag of 70-80 crows pd,so some cracking shooting 2 be had,let me know asap as the black stuff will soon be in large numbers
  12. Hi all new on here,Ihave also sprayed pigeon shells black and found that it works well in most situations,i do quite a lot of crow shooting and find that you can put a couple of decoys out and if the crows are decoying well you will have a good session, however sometimes they seem to be on a mission and all the decoys, good hide etc just wont pull them in.
