I shoot for a camphill trust in my area it has a village ( self supported ) from the five farms around the village , i got intouch with the co-worker farm manager on one of the farms he then introduced me to the other four farm co-workers to shoot for them and i even shoot in the village fields off my truck with appropriate permission ( only air rifle to be used in the village fields ) as SAFETY is paramount but once im back around the farms i can use .22 lr or .17 hmr . Dont write to them go there in person as the answer will be given to you there and then , also you can get the boundarys from them , they gave me a print out so i know where i can shoot .........................................Good luck

Spent 2 hours yesterday on our permissions driving around looking at the rape to see if there is any activity and not a solitary pigeon on them , I beleive there is still to much food about for them at the moment , When the frosts come they will be on the osr in there numbers i hope as i was asked by the gamekeeper to watch another farm they contract to and each time i go there there is nothing but told that the canadas come into the fields and what they dont eat they trampel in so fingers crossed , Been watching the fields for 3 weeks now and no joy , So thursday looks like visiting a stubble field again till they start hitting em cheers...............Paul

Hi what type are they as i have had 3 ov them and 2 ov them broke , i also broke the wings each time i used them , so i guess its the motors that arent upto it . thinking of getting the torque flapper next as the mk5 one from the site sponsors isnt upto the job well not the continous flapping over a full 6-10 hrs but i recon if you had a intermitent timer on them they would last longer , less stain on the motor i think cheers......................paul

hi all forum users i need a bit of advice as the flock is starting to come off my crow deeks so its time to purchase some new ones , also dont want to just buy a flocking kit as i will be in this position same time next year , does anyone recomend the crow fuds my mate uses the pigeon fuds but mixes them with half flocked shells to good effect advice please........................paul

hi daz the crow call on the caller . does it just make a continous crowing noise or a single crowing noise when preset on 10 for crows cheers..................paul

you will proberbly find you will get good shooting or steady shooting over the rape from 4pm onwards cheers.................paul

did you just turn up on the field and expect the pigeons to come , as you need to do a recce on your permission as you will find they are on the drillings or clover till about 2 as to this time they sit digesting there food till 3 then they top up till roost on rape . the beans are only good when first drilled then later in the season when the wind has knocked a few holes in it or harvest time and later . the pigeons are paired up so you wont see lots about as there is also more food source for them . if there is any drillings on your permission that is where you will get the good numbers but you still need to do a recce the day before you go as pigeons are creatures of habit and they will feed in the same place as before ( if not disturbed that is ) once disturbed they will move onto the next food source so keep watching hope this bit of info helps ( do your homework . lol ) cheers....................paul
