  1. Pics if possible mate - PM'd my email address
  2. Probably gonna regret this for a long, long time but I’ve got too many break-barrels with thumbhole stocks in the cabinet and one of them has to go. So, it is with a heavy heart that I’m putting my Evo up for sale as the springers are getting used more than this superb rammer. Theoben Evolution, .20 calibre in superb condition other than one tiny rust blemish on the barrel (my bad – put it into the cabinet without the usual rub-down with Napier oil: see 3rd image for a close-up picture of this.) Less than 2 tins of pellets through it. Date of manufacture March 2009 with Theoben 10 year warranty (transferable? Dunno but you can use my name and if any trouble put it c/o your own address.... the “ladies” at Theoben need never know ) Cost £350, new. Sorry, original sporter stock was sold when I bought the following: Custom Stock CS700 walnut stock. Right-handed with ventilated recoil pad (manufactured October 2009) cost £170 new. In superb condition and lovingly oiled by yours truly. Rhino 4-14x50AO (30mm tube) with 2 piece mounts – great condition with no crimps, dents, scratches to lenses or body. As seen on my Longbow in the 4th link. Theoben trigger shoe. Theoben Evo silencer with Vortex end-piece. Leather rifle sling, fitted. 3000 Bisley Super Field, unopened. Almost 1500 H&N FTT (2 tins of 500 unopened, 1 tin with maybe 30-40 out) Almost 500 JSB Exact (again, 30-40 fired) Looking for £500 but open to SENSIBLE offers Strictly no splitting – it’s all or nothing, no exceptions. Cash (if F2F), bank transfer or PayPal with the buyer picking up the fee – NO PayPal gifts please – will not consider this option so please don’t ask. F2F preferred but willing to send via courier of buyer’s choice at buyer’s expense. OR Would consider a swap for a nice underlever setup (Prosport or HW97K?) obviously with some dosh my way if it’s a bare bones gun in standard stock. Needs to be in the same condition as my Evo though – no rusty lumps of metal with worm-riddled woodwork considered! More photos available on request. N.B. Bushnell currently attached to rifle is not part of the sale & sale is posted elsewhere. In asking to buy this air gun, you are confirming to me that you are over eighteen years old, and that you are not a prohibited person under section 21 of the fire arms act.
  3. My missus collects old maps - you have a PM...
  4. Holy Thread Revival Batman! Just a quick word of thanks to Paul (Vipa) re the delivery of a mint condition RL5+ - cheers mate
  5. I tried rhubarb voddie about 3 years ago (my mad mate's madcap "get Lilian Gished quick" scheme.) "Tart" was my first impression then getting better glass after glass after galss aftergloss atfer gliss.... we ended up absolutely rubbered BUT I had the skitters something bloody awful for about 3 days afterwards.
  6. Gotcha - never realised things were that soggy up there. Silica gel sachets it is then.
  7. 3 options: Silica gel sachets (although there's a chance they can dry out the woodwork on stocks but if you look after your woodwork then not a major issue): you can buy 10 big sachets from the Bay for around a fiver. The dehumidifier linked to by HDAV - although this may also cause issues with the timber. VP90 sachet - will keep the cabinet moisture protected for a year - more expensive but it'll be the option I'm gonna go with when my cabinet arrives.
  8. x2 TBH, I've never felt the need to get Sneaky Beaky'd up in a ghillie suit - it just seems like overkill to me.
  9. H&N FTT in .177, JSB Exacts in .20 - happy days.
  10. Old French polisher's tip re oil application works for stocks: Once a day for a week Once a week for a month Once a month for a year The finish should then be deep, tough, durable and pretty much water/moisture proof.
  11. If you've not already decided I'd like to pitch my tent with the Lanber lovers. I fired 10 carts from one 3 - 4 months ago and immediately decided to get my SGC. A lovely gun to fire - it feels like a gun many times its price tag and will be the first shotty in my cabinet
  12. Black & Yellow for this fellow
  13. Folks, thanks for the pointers. I'm at work just now (so the firewall is blocking your link Dekers): obviously, gonna go for the cheapest option. PaulABF, that one's a steal at £100 but it might be a PITA organising a courier to uplift and deliver. Yeah, much as I hold the Bay in low esteem it may prove to be a source as well, cheers tom :(
  14. Deepest they have is 220mm Tony, not sure that'll hold the air rifles with the scopes attached tbh. Cheap though - cheers for the link
  15. Hi PW-ers. My SGC application is good to go so before I send it to Fife's finest I'm looking at getting a 5 gun, deep cabinet (might as well chuck my air rifles with scopes in there too). Anyone have a link to good, CHEAP, compliant gun cabinets of that specification?
  16. Just upgraded to a HD5850 so I have for sale my used but never abused Sapphire HD4870 512MB, 8 months "old". Never been overclocked (never had to TBH) but this card can clock like Flava Flav in a watch factory if you want it to. Review & Specs £70 Posted To Your Door Advertised elsewhere.
  17. Sure you don't want to re-phrase that again?
  18. I bought one of these and never checked the size on the website - same size as the one you have. Jeez, I could have fitted 2 of me in there and still have room to smuggle a troupe of midgets through customs. Great jacket, quality feel but had to go back G/L with the sale as they're good jackets.
  19. Really enjoying your photos mate: you have an eye for the birds
  20. Lovely bit of shooting there mate. No spooking between shots I assume?
