  2. How do you get up to this level?? I.E training? looks amazing one of you lot must've tried it ..fess up also can someone tell me how to embed the videos so I don't have to keep linking, ta
  3. I wouldn't have thought the trade descriptions act would help him, he was aware of the condition of the rifle when he bought it so was 'made aware' of the knocks & scratches when he viewed it. I think the only way he could have trading standards involved is if he didn't buy the gun and made the trip for no reason and lost out on time and fuel, but he bought it. I agree with everyone, you should name & shame, would think there are a lot of potential customers here and if it was as far away from mint as you describe I wouldn't waste any more money with them and just leave without buying their tat!
  4. ah but the difference in mass from a fired 2 1/2" shell and a primed brass disc would make a lot of difference so you'd not have to empty it after every two/three shots so would be more effective for a few rabbits and or a wave of pigeons if using an FAC semi
  5. Luger looks brand new, not much into the revolvy thingys.. it's funny how you can just get given nine pistols and just have to fill out a few forms over there what's your new Luger chambered for??
  6. the big gun sort of took that away for me everyone should own a gun BBQ at least once in their life.. looks cool!!
  7. Unfortunatley haven't got an account for that site, I found Rocket Ball on Wikipedia and I'm still baffled how it works! I was thinking more towards the primed case tip being ejected in a side box to make a fully environmentally-friendly ammunition.
  8. that's a lot of kisses Pavman, is there anything we should know about your BASC affiliation?
  9. get a pair of these bad boys in my pic and nobody will think you're an oik
  10. you mean the hailstorm?? biodeg carts will still be a problem as they need to house a non degradable primer, also not very nice to look at on the field
  11. sorry for not explaining it properly, by 'caseless' I mean it does have a case when it's loaded, but once it's fired the case is gone - this is achieved by having a combustible case. it looks and feels the same and has the same dimensions as a normal cartridge, there is nothing to do with muzzleloading or manual loading at all, you load the ammo into the gun like normal and you shoot it like normal. with the same load as a conventional cartridge, the recoil would be similar and adequate enough to cycle a semi auto bolt and chamber the next round only, instead of ejecting an empty 10 feet away, it ejects nothing. SSS if they had that technology in the 15th century I'd be very impressed
  12. I misread this before.. why would unfired extraction be a problem? the dimensions would be identical to a conventional cartridge.
  13. not sure what you mean by 'chain fire' ..and what do you mean by 'loading 10' in a muzzleloader, don't muzzleloaders load one at a time but to retort to what I understand I'd expect an extent of flash from a barrel with holes down it
  14. let me rephrase that, if the outside of the cases weren't directly flammable, but would only burn after the primer was struck.
  15. Hmm well if we took the fire risk away (adequate warnings on boxes and physical protection on 250 slabs) I don't think it's a bad idea.. even better.. what if the case was only able to combust was through the heat of the nitro fire and the outside could have a protective layer.
  16. if I solved the problem of the cartridge cycling I think the idea would work!!
  17. not smoking anything.. what's the bad idea about not having to bother picking up cartridges ever again?
  18. Christ almighty it would be the same reaction if a person was murdered at the club.. what is this country coming to? how do you 'gun down' a fox??
  19. do they exist or did I make it up imagine a semi auto shotgun, firing one cartridge after another, the bolt sliding back to chamber new loads and ejecting only a wisp of smoke. would these be too expensive to manufacture and has anyone heard of them for shotguns?
  20. so is it wrong to undertake somebody who's doing under 35 in the right hand lane? (in a 40)
  21. In no 6 shot there's around 270 pellets (according to the sticky), so the energy has to be distributed between them all, bigger shot would mean less pellets and more energy being carried over at point of impact. different cartridges will have differing ballistical properties.
  22. Semi autos are getting more acceptable with time but are generally not accepted on driven shoots I think, if you're shooting on your own at pigeons or at clays then it's not an issue (not anywhere I've been anyway).
