  1. Hi Stavvy, Good to chat and good to know that the dog is going to a good home. Over the moon actually. Black and white dog now sold. Chocolate still available. Snipe.
  2. I was toying with the idea for a while then took the plunge and purchased a secondhand Beretta Extrema (1) and have never looked bag. SOOOOO chuffed with it. Took a bit of getting use to, and was missing horribly to begin with, but now got the hang of it and have not put it down since. Coming into the game season soon though, so must get the O/U back out to get my eye in and get use to the punch again! Bit of a pain to clean etc. but more than worth it. Recoil is really non existent on 32g loads, and it will easily recycle the lighter 28g loads without any issues. Snipe.

    Sloe Gin

Awesome tip that one Figgy, thanks for sharing. Seeing a good amount of sloes around at the moment, and will keep this one in mind for the Autumn. Thanks again, Snipe.
  4. Thanks for this MM and good to know you found a pup. Hope it turns out to be a winner for you, and good luck with it all. Thanks for this, as there are quite a few on there I didn't even know existed! I will definitely explroe some of those, so thanks for that. Hi WGD, I just dropped them from £500 to £450. The bitches flew out at £550. This seems to be a resonable price, but as someone noted in a reply above, I may now have underpriced them! Real shame about that one Anthony, but thanks for not messing me around. Good luck with it all, but I think you made the right choice! Perfect, thanks a lot Mike. The line is Wetlands and Maesydderwen, primarily. With some Wernffrwd thrown in for good measure. 38 reds over the 5 generations. Thanks for all your assistance gents, it is greatly appreciated. Snipe.
  5. Hi, after a bit of advice please from those that have gone through the process before as I am certainly new to all this. Where would you recommend advertising the pups? I would really like them to go to working homes, and, as such, have tried ukgundogs and felsteadgundogs, but that was a bit of a wasted exercise. Am I being naive by thinking they would only go to working homes? Should I open them up to the general pet market? I tried shooting times, but that was £96 a throw! But if deemed a good idea, I would be willing to try. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Snipe.
  6. Thanks Ade, greatly appreciated. They are beautiful pups and I was extremely fortunate to have such a mixed colour within the litter. I have kept one bitch, and she's a liver-roan. They really are a huge amount of fun! Snipe.
  7. Thanks for that Rob, greatly appreciated. I'm sure the owners will love the pups, I would just really like to see them go to working homes, hence why I have dropped the price from £500 to £450 to try and stir up some interest before having to open them up to non-working homes. Snipe.
  8. Thanks for that MM, greatly appreciated. They are cracking pups and I just want to make sure their pedigree isn't wasted by going to non-working families. Hi Stavvy, please see the images above. These are of the blue-roan dog.
  9. Just taken some fresh shots of the chocolate dog, which should give a clearer 'picture'. Thanks, Snipe.
  10. Born in this neck of the woods I'm sure they'd give it a go Aled!!
  11. Hi, yes, exactly that. The images were taken some 2 weeks ago, more than willing to get you some fresh ones. He really is a handsome dog, and is quite the character. More than happy to scan the pedigree too, should you want to see that, and also forward details of the sire, as he has been written about in a cocker spaniel training book. Thanks, Snipe.
  12. Thanks a lot. This did the trick! Snipe.

  14. Just thought I'd tag this question on to this thread rather than starting a new one as it is down the same road. I've got some really stubborn residue left in the barrels. I have tried giving them a good brush with the bronze brush, but I still can't shift it. The residue is placed just after where, I assume, the cartridge ends. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Snipe.

  16. £575 if any interest? I won't go any lower. Thanks, Snipe.
  17. More than happy to address any questions. Gun is mint and I'm confident any buyer will be very happy with it. I would be willing to accept £600. Thanks, Snipe.
  18. Hi, I recently purchased a Beretta Xtrema. However, being second hand it didn't come with the attachments to be placed onto the gun so that a sling could be fitted. Any idea where I can get these from? also, I assume that one has to be screwed into the synthetic stock where the depression is, has anyone done this and is it difficult? Thanks, Snipe.
  19. Awesome, thanks a lot guys, much appreciated. Really love the gun and pleased to have bought it. Does take a bit of getting use to, but slowly getting there. Snipe.
  20. Ordered from them about 10 days ago. Total pain in the backside. The lady on the phone was just simply rude and a total waste of time. 1/2 my order was out of stock, even though it was showing as in stock on the website. My friend placed an order at the same time and with one item being out of stock they sent through an alternative that cost £10 less without notifying him of this or issuing a refund! It wasn't until he noticed and phoned them that he got his refund! That fills me with confidence in them!!!! They've got some great offers, but the offers are only any good if you can actually get your hands on the products! Which is, sadly, doubtful. Snipe.
  21. Thanks a lot gents, that's very helpful. I fired it for the first time on Saturday night, putting the 3" steel cartridges through it and was thoroughly impressed. Very little recoil. Good to hear that it will take the 2.5" cartridges too though, as that will make life easier with the cartridges I have for decoying, which are usually a real collection of left overs! Snipe.
  22. Hi, just purchased an Xtrema 1 from a forum member and am well pleased with it. However, I would like to ask for other owners' experiences of the gun with 65mm cartridges? does it handle and cycle them well? or are they to be avoided? Also, why is it that it will take 3 of these in the magazine, when it should only take 2? Thanks, Snipe.
  23. Thanks for the replies. I looked at that one from Solway, but you then need to buy a directional feeder, otherwise it will just sprinkle food everywhere. I then stumbled across this one, which looks just the ticket! http://www.targetsports.co.uk/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=2678&ccSID=f68ec33e2a9e02efb5a3359251ee41e5 I'll give it a go and see what happens. Getting a bit late in the season now though, sadly. Snipe.
  24. Thanks for all the replies, which are greatly appreciated. I am sold on the promatic, especially with unbiased reports above. I'd rather spend a bit more but have something last. Thanks once again for your input and time. Snipe.
