As a builder/gynaecologist why don't you offer to paint and decorate her front hall, through the letterbox??
-
Are you sure it is 50 metres? Over here it is 50 feet from the centre of the highway, if in consequence you injure, interrupt or endanger anyone on the highway.

Cranfield,
33,400 replies on the internet doesn't make it right. The most popular grammatical error is the split infinitive in the Star Trek phrase - BOLDLY GO... Should be go boldly, join the club!
-
Don't know what made me do it but I typed FELT when it should have been FIBRE. That comes of shooting in the old days I suppose!

Cranfield,
The term quadbike is an oxymoron..............

Eley HB Pigeon 6.5 32g for me, EVERY time! I've stopped comparing cartridges now and go with the Eleys, permanently. I use the felt wads.
-
I didn't think the Eley HB Pigeons come in 6 shot? I've used a few thousand of them in 6.5 and they do me nicely. I wouldn't use any other cartridge now.
-
My favourite shot is 6.5 from Eley HB Pigeons!!

CZs don't just cut down a longer barrel either. The 16" barrels are purpose made, from shorter barrel blanks.

You wouldn't want a police chopper and an armed response unit either, just because some passer by called the police. You know what they're like!!

These wilderness types start camp fires with a 9 volt PP3 battery and some wirewool.

Ours is on the turn but 4 weeks is about right.

If the the World Cup was being held in my back garden I'd pull the curtains!!

I once shot a chocolate brown crow. Very distinctive. I believe these birds/animals with unusual colours are called sports?

When I bought my magic roundabout from Will Beasley he had the arms sprayed with NATO drab green before I took it away. Now that's service!!

If you 'go down the gun shop and have a feel' you might get a black eye!

According to a recent test number 6 shot, with felt wad, will travel a maximum of 209 metres. If held horizontally at 1.7 metres the maximum is 88.5 metres. Hope this helps.

Catamong,
Then I must be phenomenal!! I've been shooting pigeons a lot longer than you mate. and I've got it down to a fine art. I don't think shooting one pigeon for two cartridges is unusual, even though I have shot two with the same cartridge, at times. Strange thing is the one you shoot at is often winged, and the one you didn't mean to shoot is stone dead!! Apparently a good all round average would be 3:1, (cartridges to kills.) Just in case you misunderstood my average of 2:1 is cartridges to kills, not two pigeons to one cartridge, but then again you knew that didn't you? They call it a sense of humour.
-
I keep a note of all my cartridges, and also keep a diary. I consistently average 2:1.

I hardly ever use my magic roundabout, but sometime use the flapper. I generally start with 10 dead birds and do quite well. The problem will always be - did the magnet make the difference or would they have dropped in just as well without it? How many birds did the magnet scare away?

There's the Freudian slip lads. He wants ponces!

The AL391 doesn't have a floor, so it would be floorless. I think you mean flawless?

CZ Varmint every time for me!!

I have two CZ Varmints, in .22 and .17HMR, and I can't fault them. Both have very nice wood and shoot well. They may feel a bit heavy for some but I don't find this an inconvenience as I shoot from sticks. I can take out and replace the mags blindfolded. No need to look down, if you are changing with a bunny in view, and they slot in nicely.
How much lead ?

If you need more lead why not try 36g cartridges?
