First attempt so it was very simple. Slightly cheated, the pastry was from the supermarket. Anyway. 2 medium onions. 200 Grams of mushrooms. Handful of Garden Peas 2 medium Carrots 3 Pigeon breasts 250 Grams of Braising steak. Just simply fried all the ingredients seperately in butter so they were just undercooked. Keep all the juices for the gravy. Mix the juices with 1/2 litre of oxo beef stock then thicken with corn flour. Add all the ingredients Season with salt and pepper then mix well. and put into the pie. Put lid on pie and then brush with beaten egg. Cook for about 40-50 mins on gas mark 6 I thought that there was something missing so next time i will try something different. I think that ot needs a bit of spice or something. Let me know how you get on.
  8. Hello All. First off all i would just like to say a big thanks to Bramble from pigeon watch. He took me out on Saturday for the first time. I had my first couple of pigeons. Got back and put them to good use. Quite good for my first ever attempt at a pie
  9. Quick and decent food for the hide on cold days. 5 mis on the camping stove and your done Put in some Black pepper and it warms you up a treat.
  10. Take a couple of tins of allday breakfasts. It has got beans, sausage, bacon scotch eggs and mushrooms in. 5 minutes on the stove, sorted. Meal in a tin.
  11. should be ok for most of the rides if not all. Look on the website and it should tell you the height restrictions. There are some indoor parts, but mostly expensive shops. Probabley better with the 2 days though, as you will have chance to get on all the stuff. With the weather i would keep away from the log flume. Also when we went there were alos some outdoor shows, don;t know if they will be on. All in all it is good experience and the nipper will love it.
  12. Went last year with the missus and my 2 sons. It is a fun packed day with a fair bit of walking and queing. But as you would expect it is totally geared up for kids, iwould say between the age of 4 and 10. The youngest was to small for even some of the kiddy rides, lots of tears when the eldest could go on and he couldn't. We just ate in a pub near to legoland. Forgot the name but the prices were very reasonable. What age/height is the nipper?
  13. I know that pigeon shooting can be hit or miss ( sorry for the pun). Alot of advertising posts are quoting numbers. The post sounds like you are selling a service so i think that i could be a little risky quoting numbers. What someone never gets a shot off. Sorry for the awkward question.
  14. Hello OTH I am quite new to the sport Just my opinion i mainly associate ferreting as vermin control, i would be very grateful for any permission but would like to feel that the agreement between me and the landowner was a mutual one and that having the permisssion plus maybe a xmas drink to the landowner is payment for controlling the vermin. I would be willing to pay a small price but i think that £50 is a little expensive.
  15. Cheers Bramble. Just replied to pm. Regards fletcher1234565
  16. Any one out there. I am also willing to supply the flask of tea Regards fletcher1234565
  17. Took him about 10-15 minutes. He was only on 5lb line. He was knackered when he finally got it in the net. I was there with all my tackle, he was there with just a cheapish rod and reel and he still caught the same amount as me. Only he had the bigger ones, The one in the pic was approx 6lb.
  18. Hello All. Just thought i would share with you all one of my sons biggest smiles i have ever seen.
  19. I am from Dudley (the black country). Driving within reason is not a problem. Regards Fletcher
  20. Hello all. Anyone out there willing to take someone along just to learn and watch. I am 27 years old and have not been out for about 15 years. I want to gain some valuble experience before going out on my own. Maybe someone outhere who doesn't go so much because of carrying all the equipment may also benefit as i would lend a hand. I can pickup if needed. I live in the Midlands. Kind Regards Fletcher1234565.
