  1. Lush and a Bargain - unfortunately I only have a SGC otherwise at the price it would be a serious contender to live in my cabinet as a "just in case" i fancy using a pump ! Good Luck with the sale and the move.
  2. Thank you for the comments, and yes it does look fantastic. And I am still smiling inside when I take it out of the slip and see people "checking" it out with looks of admiration, those small nods of approval - yet alone the comments it has had from people saying they would like one. Handling wise, I am relatively new as I am still less than a year into clay shooting, so my opinion, description is not that of an expert, but for me I find it handles very well. This could probably be down to the reduced recoil which is slightly less than the comfort - that might just be in the mind - but find that on trying to get on the second bird I find it quicker (if that makes sense, as said no expert on how to describe) I also feel that I can be more precise with where I place my shot and break the clay so this could be due to a better pattern? As said, no expert to describe and this is only the sixth gun I have ever used - two semi and the others being OU - but in short, so far I have found a lazy day shooting I have scored better than I had been if had a lazy day with the OU or Comfort - me getting better or some of it to do with the gun? Verdict still out but I love it and I am ashamed to say the Beretta hasnt been out since this Bad Boy turned up.
  3. Right size, but wrong boot.....typical and they are a bargain.......
  4. Sprags: I can't read any of your thread responses, I keep going "left eye dominant" when I look
  5. Adam Bit of a post hijack, but I was looking at these and others similar and can say the sizes are all over the place, even with the same make but different style - I was really surprised at how much difference. These are a nice jacket as I looked at them as well but I guess this is why you have found it doesnt fit as you expected when you bought it. Bargain price for someone of the right size. Good luck with the sale.
  6. I am 6ft, 17stone with broad shoulders and through to much time in the gym a deep shoulder/ chest pocket and I have found my Benelli is fine - you can purchase different stock pads to alter length up to 14 3/4 i believe... Its a peach to shoot and even though not a popular choice in the UK which I think is mostly due to initial price, I really like mine.
  7. Think most have stated what my opinion would be and what I did and I felt for me is what the right choice. I bought a Beretta 686 Gold E - 30in barrels, multi choke with an adjustable stock (love them or hate them) and it has done me just find and I feel it was just right for me to develop with until one day I can afford and justify a new OU As with most things in life, everyone is an expert and you have to determine what is right for you, but the gun doesn't to me seem a good deal - fixed choke ! Also why only a ltd time deal? Seems to me a bit of cheap sales pitch - find a dealer you are comfortable with and if you can, try different guns. You will be pleasantly surprised if you ask, most people will let you try their gun so long as you ask politely and be friendly - I have been more than happy to let others try my guns if asked.
  8. Just put mine in a slip and ensure it can't move about in the boot.......
  9. Guns For Sale Search: Semi Auto ........ several to choose from depending on budget
  10. Some of it will depend on your height and build, what you feel comfortable handling so pick up plenty - and assuming you buy an Over/ Under gun and not a Semi Auto
  11. Unless the gun is a "bargain" I wouldn't think it is really worth it?
  12. Gray Look at your words, you have already decided I had a similar choice so to speak, tried everything to convince myself there was no point changing - in the end I did and I am like a kid at Christmas - albeit about shotguns .....
  13. Most of the grounds I have been mainly shoot plastic and the ones that shoot fibre I don't attend frequently. Thus when buy 1000 carts I buy Plastic .... Still got some fibre that I have had for an age and got through a couple of 1000 plastic in the meantime
  14. Personally, if you sell reloaded carts on an attempt to be of commercial basis you are entering a very difficult world that could result in serious consequences if not for the purchaser but you, the supplier. There is a whole vast array of rules and laws to be mindful of, even as simple as the sale of goods act in being fit for purpose, trading standards to mention just two that would, could take interest. If you were to reload some carts for mates, pals that accept it is just that and happy to buy a few gifts/ beers to thank you then keep it to that level.
  15. I think MITCHF has summed it up completely ..... I started Oct/ Nov 2009 and if I hit 50% i have been very happy and changed grounds on a weekly basis. I have stuck to a regular couple of shoots recently and although they change the stands fairly often, I find I do better being more comfortable in my surroundings, people there as only thinking of what is presented so I have relaxed. In being more relaxed I try not to focus too much on the score, but how I felt I did. Did I work out where I was going wrong? Did I know that I missed because I rushed, mounted to high etc? This is helping me more than worrying about my score and interestingly enough my scores have improved to a mid 30's from 50 consistently. But where MITCHF gets it is, I can get the same score two weeks running, same ground albeit some different presentations if I missed when I know I should have known and done better, then I am not so happy, but if I know I did it to the best I could and I ran out of ability then I walk off with HUGE smile .... for now
  16. What! What do they mean the wood is not normally covered? Just quote the Sales of Goods act and demand a full refund as the item should be fit for purpose and cracking so soon it obviously isn't.
  17. Bump I am new to the world of firearms as only started clay shooting last October and I thoroughly enjoy it. I am not sure what to put into my submission but wish to do it anyway so will try to add something of meaning. I just wish they would target the right areas, illegal firearms and knife crimes!
  18. Jon I think that is the problem sometimes, you try a gun that doesn't fit right to you and then you will feel uncomfortable with it and not do well - for me when I first bought the Benelli Comfort I had intended to buy a Berretta Al391 or A400 but in picking them all up for fit and handling the Benelli won me over - didnt even want a Synthetic either
  19. Evil Elivs Shoulder is fine and dandy - did a fifty bird Saturday Morning and a 60 Bird today without any issue at - recoil is not an issue with the Super Sport as it runs the Comfortec system of the same as the Comfort which I had before it. The gun handles really well, feels good and looks the Mutts Nuts Bloke I am happy I made the switch from the Comfort to the Super Sport .......
  20. Mick Job Done As for the next, whilst I was there I did see a very nice Beretta 682 Gold E with nice wood and adjustable stock - but soooooooo going to have to wait for that one as the bank manager would not approve..... PS-I really do mean the bank manager
