  1. Nope but as far as investments are concerned as soon as the stuff is legalised it will make profit, and probably for the same people who built their fortunes on tobacco and currently sit in various positions where they couldn't possibly get advanced notice
  2. This, and get contacts in Amsterdam for when weed is legalised - it's making big money in the states so it's inevitable it will be legitimised over here and I'm sure plenty of our lord's and masters will be amongst the first to dip their breaks
  3. we;ve got it - it works fine and the planner/recording is good. it "learns" what you watch and offers suggestions and has online access for you tube etc pretty happy with it and having full system on other tv and tablets is good as well
  4. just accident cover, I'm not taking anything with me
  5. Like any insurance I'm not expecting to need it - not sure booking with the range will automatically cover me, I'll look at the booking form, I'll also have my daughter, niece and nephew shooting with me so want to be extra careful
  6. Anyone any suggestions regarding insurance for shooting while in the US? I'm planning on doing some pistol shooting at a range but notice BASC insurance doesn't cover USA, my own travel insurance states it covers clay shooting or "small bore shooting" under supervision of a qualified instructor and arranged by YOUR tour operator. I've booked at a range with an instructor but we're going on our own ie not through a tour operator so don't know if that wording is important?
  7. Well as the BBC website has a photo of a couple of cartridges ejecting from a 12g as their main image on the piece for both the men's and women's 10m air rifle competitions I'm not optimistic!
  8. We're heading over again in August, family holiday but we've been a few times before so if anyone can suggest anything different to alleviate theme park suffering it would be appreciated. Went shooting 3 times last year so that's back on the agenda but would like some other ideas of possible (not fishing though)
  9. Doesn't all the doom and gloom predictions indicate how poor our politicians actually are? If we stay in then we're going to hell in a hand cart if we leave is all going to fall apart in days! I'd suggest all of our leaders have shown themselves as not fit for purpose if they've already predetermined their inability to negotiate a deal which doesn't screw us either way?
  10. I've bought dozens of cheap Chinese phones over the years and with each android update they have got better, there are still some issues with cheaper components ie Bluetooth and WiFi but the trend at the moment is to go to massive batteries, I've just been abroad and my ulephone 6000 (I think) lasted 3 1\2 days without a charge and I used both calls and data quite heavily. Daughter has a similar phone and she gets 2 days of 'teenage daughter level' YouTube use on a single charge! *edit* both under £100 shipped

    EU predictions

53/47 stay in maybe 52/48 - I'm convinced its already decided like the Scottish referendum was, keep the result close enough that no one can call it fixed but predetermined all the same!
  12. Born in Wigan left 25(?) Years ago!
  13. I'd love to see a parallel thread on here where for example a polish immigrant had taken advantage of the benefits system to send home money or a single parent had "forgotten" to declare they had a spare bedroom and avoided paying say a couple of hundred quid in tax etc. I do kind of feel the polarity of the conversation may well be reversed? It's not the first time on PW I've got the feeling that there are some commentators who's initial replies have to be self censored because they include something like "shouldn't let their kind have a certificate"! Maybe it's just me??
  14. I note no-one has commented regarding my question about DC's castigation of Jimmy Carr either and how "morally wrong" it was that he used a legal offshore scheme? also (but not quite on topic but "in close proximity") can one of the "stop bashing the wealthy for being wealthy" advocates explain why Sam Cam needs a tax payer funded frock picker? Understand she has to look well turned out but £53k?? http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/samantha-cameron-special-adviser-fashion-aide-taxpayer-salary-530000-a6974181.html
  15. I remember seeing a programme which outlined the methods in which high earners could reduce their tax liabilities, the example they showed was a mobile phone company owner who paid less income tax than one of his employees on a basic wage. Regardless of your political flavouring this is clearly wrong and I'd suggest that the intent of persons using this kind of offshore arrangement is to imitate this as much as possible. In addition to this I find it quite galling that DC took the time to publicly criticise Jimmy Carr for his tax activities when they were made public which as I understand it were actually not illegal at the time but now feels it is a private matter when the boot is on the other foot. All in it together my ****!
