  1. Given he made an assurance of impartiality on his acceptance of position, impartiality should be considered as part of his employment contract. With the GL debacle last spring and this current event it is clear to see he is working to his own agenda. Clearly he is abusing his position and power.
  2. There was always a risk with Tony Juniper at the head of NE. I remember reading that at his final interview for the post he was made to state and confirm he would remain impartial and not prejudice countrysports. Well, given this latest turn of events he clearly has. There is enough evidence, cause and reason for Rt. Hon George Eustice MP DOE to walk into Junipers office today and dismiss him on the spot!
  3. The black hut has long gone. But interestingly HERWA erected a monument some years ago to honour the work and life of Stanley Duncan. The monument is placed on the site of the black hut. If you search google there are a number of photos of the monument online.
  4. and can I add......our worse enemy may well prove to be ourselves......I mean our own district fowling authorities/clubs/assoc..... Sadly modern fowling history has proven time and again we are not all team players......we collectivley do not think of the long term together, ........unlike our cousins across the atlantic.......remember gentlemen BASC while doing an sterling job for 10% or so of it's membership does have conflicts of conviction if only the budget spent........BASC does not provide Fowling here in the UK, our local Clubs do.....BASC only regulate it!... .....Ducks Unlimited in the USA have taken a different view and I can guess who will be the last countryman to take a shot at a wild duck or goose.
  5. Petition Governments.....Every body/Club/Assoc. buy land & marshes where possible, promote our sport in an ethical way.......and yes stop all the inter club and/or local political infighting......and yes sadly I do believe our sport has a limited time in our 'modern' life.........and that's me being positive!
  6. If you are anywhere near and can get to any one of the chain of Cabela's Hunting, shooting and fishing hypermarkets it will be very worthwhile experience. They have everything you could possible want for Fowling, their own branded clothing including gortex, fleece and thinsulate are first class and very reasonably priced, and if you are bringing them back home yourself you save the dreaded VAT and import duty. I have used Cabela's gortex Fowling coats, fleeces, waders, gloves and hats or many years and cannot fault them. They also stock many other top brands. Have fun!

  14. LG, Thanks for that, some fridges do have a wider range of temp control. i'll have to look. Impax
  15. I bought 500 28g no. 7 Export fibre two years ago after reading how good they were...... I still have 100 left..... 4 misfires in 400 cartridges using 3 different guns! I cut open a few and the contents particularly the shot appeared low quality. Although I will say when using on Game or Pigeon they did kill well! I would not buy any more though. Regards, Impax.
  16. Hi all, Can someone tell me the main difference in tempriture control between a domestic fridge and a drinks chiller? I'm considering the purchase of something for personal use, I dont need a big commercial chiller and was leaning towards buying a upright domestic fridge and racking it out. Most modern fridges I've looked at cool down to +2 degrees. Would this not be enough? Regards & all the best for Christmas.
  17. Hi, I've been using plant clips now for some time to hold the hide material to the hide poles. They are green circular spring loaded clips designed/used to hold plant stems to the supporting bamboo/supports! Available in all good garden centres £3 for 10. Or maybe now soon to be available from all good Pigeon Shooting suppliers Regards, Impax.
  18. Thanks for your input and replys guys. More or less decided on the Chameau "all tracks" they look a pretty good value. They are the base Chameau model, no cold weather lining, but they are light weight, have a great grippy sole and come with the quality of le chameau. A dealer not to far away has them on offer for £40. Thanks again. Impax.
  19. Thanks for your input guys. Not sure what to buy get, would like to see the X3M1 range before I make a decision- They look very much like Chameau, but as with all things in life you get what you pay for! Regards, Impax.
  20. Hi everyone, My current pair Hunter classics have again split above the first toe on both boots are are leaking! This is not the first time I've felt let down by the durability of Hunters so I've decided not to buy anymore. So I am again in the market to buy a pair of wellies. I wish to spend around £50 so the very best are out of the question. Up to now I learning towards Chameau "All tracks" which are just within budget, but I've seen the Garlands neoprene and a make called X3M1 neoprene lined wellies advertised. Having not seen any of these first hand or known anyone whos bought a pair I'm not sure how good they are. Any of you guys bought a pair of them makes and advise how good they are? I need to know the built quality, how good the soles grip in wet conditions and durability! Perhaps we could star rate the current available lines in budget wellies :yp: Regards, Impax.
  21. Hi all, I was pleased but very surprised to see a single House Martin feeding over a fresh water lake in south Yorkshire on thursday 30th march! This is by far the earliest sighting of any hirundine for me, and a real joy. I was able to sit and watch this early visiter for a full 15 minutes zipping around in the wind and brief spells of sunshine feeding over the water. A real treat! Regards, Impax.
  22. Dave, Theres probabley more Barn Owls bred in captivity today than breed in the wild, so finding one should not be to much of a problem! Look in you local free adds i'm sure you'll find one locally. Impax.
  23. Bigtone, I have a Fabarm Euro Lion mk. 2, it's only just two years old and is in pretty much first class condition. The gun has a 28 inc barrel, 3 inc. Mag chamber and is multi choke. Original makers case, hand books and extra chokes are included. I did post it on here last year, but not really advertised it elseware. I'm not desperate to sell it as I did buy a Beretta, but I still find myself taking the Fabarm out when I need to shoot well. It's still the best handleing gun Ive shot! Anyway if it's of interest £350 cash would buy it (no offers please) and i'm pretty local living at Rotherham. David
  24. Dexter, That barrel looks short, is it 26 inch? Regards, Impax
