Yep I shot Doveridge today, wished I didnt, The wind was so bad that nearly every pair on each stand seemed like they was thrown from different traps! I managed to straight two stands, but!!! Because they were holding the English Open Skeet competition on the same day, maintenance on the Sporting course was sadly missing. Up heart attack hill there was 4 stands that broke down!! after waiting to shoot the first one we waited for 35 minutes to complete it, then the next stand had a crowd waiting ? then we went to the next two stands at the top of the hill? Jeezus!! both broke down as well! after waiting another 20 minutes or so I threw my dummy out the pram, and left. that was at 12.45pm I normally finish at Doveridge at 12.10pm. Only bright spot today was the news that young Nick Hendrick finished third in the English Open Skeet! Well done Nick.

I felt sorry for young Paulos, asked by ME! to look after me, cos of my post op problems, he carried my gunbag, and his own plus gun from stand to stand! otherwise he would have scored more than his 80!. Thanks Paulos.

Just back from the Mecca, Hodnet SGround, Where the rain didnt let up untill our last stand, Congratulations to The Cat, who was high gun with a 91. second place to Claybuster with a 90! several high scores notably from Beretta, Mr Potter, son of Potter, DSPUK, who all put in + 86 and higher scores. Nice to meet up again with Bazza, Paulos, MC, and the rest of the good guys off P W. The raffle was brilliant, I dont know the total raised but a quote of £3,000 was mentioned Thanke LV and MC and the rest of the guys who arranged it all , and of course to everyone who travell hundreds of miles to compete. Everyone won today North and South, Thanks to to Tom and the staff at Hodnet, Nice to meet all the other guys from here :unsure:

I started shooting The Beretta World at Roundwood..then West London, and 3 times at Meon Springs, certainly the high towers at Roundwood was awesome! and the wooded areas was good..But all grounds have there good parts and are remembered for different qualities, Two years ago at Meon on the Sunday the heavens opened and everyone on the morning squads was drenched the rain stopped just as we were finishing, and the sun came out! it was fine for the pm squads I will never forget the long drive home, and still be wearing my wet clothes. wife said, we must all be mad!!

No, In truth Annie was like a machine, as was Claybuster! I was demoralised after the first two stands (Where I was leading!!) as claybuster was giving Annie free coaching! And my confidence!,, And scores fell!! I was more than p****d off! As, it when I was tired out I wished I hadnt gone really! I finished up with a **** score

Hrrrm shot Doveridge today, while there I saw Claybuster and annie shooting out of their skins! both where in the 90's at the finish but I dont know who won what!! Dont ask what I scored but it wasnt very good at all! It was only because my Baco foil skull cap fell off after the first couple of stands, and it was destroyed by Keef grinding it into the ground with his heel Annie shot like G D! is he the new Messiah! Yars, I just put in Shawbury, a couple of miles away from Hodnet which has a weather reading gizmo linked to the BBC and the Met office The BBC and the Met both forecast heavy rain Chard is correct, they dont allways get it right!
