"Does anybody know of a good material for making red filters, have tried some red perspex but the lamp dims right down, the wife reckons red acetite film would work well, if I could find some" I can send anyone 2 x A5 ish size sheets (of two different reds) to select the shade of red/amount of light that they let through for a fiver in a self addressed/stamped A5 size envelope These are what disco's use and theaters cover their stage lights with pm me for my addy

  11. This is an old post that has been edited for the purpose of picture posting only. The scope now fitted to the gun is a bushnell buckhorn 3-9x40 with what looks like a duplex reticle.
  12. ok looking at this: http://www.falconoptics.com/ If you view the quarry at the sharpest "focus" - then check the distace graduations of the adjustment wheel, could that be a ROUGH guide of its distance from you? EDIT: I'm considering it for a rimmy - so only really interested in the "focus" settings below 100 yds - which is where the greatest amount of adjustment is
  13. quick question for someone ; if I get a scope with side parrallax adjustment that has numbered distance markings viewable from the rear of the scope whilst in the aim position: Am i being too naive thinking it could be as simple as "if the quarry is in focus" at the relative marked distance - then thats roughly how far it ACTUALLY is? EDIT:and adjust my hold over/under accordingly?
  14. ".34D" I dissagree - 34DD is much more shapely
  15. Thanks Axe - still undecided at this time - and considering one with a range finder, though the feo suggested today that they're not overly accurate? He uses a hand held laser type
