  1. You could start up a little advisory committee/group just to pool info... still effort which ever way you do it!
  2. Have you read their terms and conditions out of interest? For instance:- "Caring for our customers. We are committed to providing You with the highest standard of service and customer care. We realise however, there may be occasions when You feel that You did not receive the standard of service You expect. Should You have cause for complaint about any aspect of the Breakdown services, which We have provided to You, please contact Us at the address indicated and We will work with You to resolve Your complaint." or "18. We will take all reasonable care in providing Our services to You. We will not be responsible for the action or inaction of any other third parties who may provide additional services to You." May be worth pushing forward with a complaint, if you can be bothered, since the bloke got it wrong and you relied on his statements made as an RAC employee. Don't know how much he quoted for the rewiring in relation to the cost of the renault you bought, but the situation could have been a lot worse, had you got the rewiring. No guarantees, but there response is fob-off answer. Oh the joys! CK.
  3. An o/u will cover you across the board. I personally have a baikal o/u 12G with 1/4 and 1/2 chokes, but with 2 sets of barrels - one long one short. Ejectors would be useful, particularly on driven shoots when you have been standing around for ages and everything appears at the same moment. As per Apache, semis are out for driven shooting. And something you can happily put steel through if your driven shooting has any wildfowl on. Comfort is up there as the number one requirement, and the rest you will pick up in time (/a lifetime) tbh!
  4. My preference is 28g 6s, but personal to me to be honest - work nicely on pheasants, rabbits, pigeons, crows etc so covers my bases. Don't know where you are buying your cartridges from but it definitely is steep. In terms of the Kent's, the 7.5s are a UK 7 - they work out fine for pigeons if you want more pellets in your pattern. I have heard people go down to 9s for snipe, but I wouldn't risk smaller than 7s, personally on pigeon.
  5. Ditto some of the above. From experience the major issue is visibility and wind, at least when I have had to decoy in a corner. Dependent on the corner and how the birds are passing, there is a good chance they don't pick out the decoys until late, normally too late. Saying that it can work.
  6. I'd take this but just too far away - particularly at the moment! Good luck though!
  7. I read an article a few months back about the day he broke the record in the video - specifically went out there to break it - not really anything to do with pest control. Just found the place with a massive population of doves. I believe all the birds were picked and given out to the locals, so nothing wasted in that sense - but still... http://www.argentinadoveshooting.com/sierr...orld-record.php is one version of the story. He went shooting the next day too... C.
  8. If thats an offer - I can safely say maybe not this time Sorry i wasnt fully awake when I did this - missed out mileage too!
  9. The time has come to sell my beloved GT as I look for something in the 4x4 category. Overall it has the following: 26000 miles to date, 3 Door Hatchback, Sky Metallic Blue, Diesel, Manual with 6 forward gears, Remote central locking/immobiliser, Keyless entry, Keyless button start, Rear wiper, Steering wheel reach adjustment, Steering wheel rake adjustment, Full size spare wheel, PAS, Traction control with the ability to turn it off/on, new full set of tyres 500 miles ago and new brakes in the last week, integral bluetooth parrot system, CD/MP3 Radio system with steering controls, A/C, Taxed til April 2011, MOT til Oct 2011, serviced 3 times since bought (annually) with Renault parts and fluids, leather steering wheel and gear ****, electric mirrors, Renault ARM system, 17 inch gunmetal 5 spoke alloys, electric windows, cruise control, mini-fogs that work, automatic lighting, automatic wipers, sport seats in good condition, new brakes this week too. Overall in very good condition, and goes like the clappers for a diesel! It's on for £8k on autotrader, but happy to let it go for less on here to be honest - £7400 ono. It goes like the clappers for renault, and does about 40mpg which is pretty good for what it is. ATB C.
  10. I think a case of "don't jump to conclusions", sorry Kent but that's the case.
  11. Good day out. Just a little more of a breeze and I would have been even more happy! Good luck dude with the site. C.
  12. Have you got any other pics please? in and out if possible? Cheers C.
  13. DECIDED TO KEEP THE PUMPACTION, the Century is sold AND the SbS is back on the market again... I am having a clear out, and I have 3 shotguns which I don't use - I like my Baikal too much and may be investing in a beretta/browning in the near future - As usual with these things F2F prefered, only to SGC holders obviously. Birmingham based so would like to keep it to the Midlands unless people want to travel. Offers, obviously, welcome. 1. Saint Etienne made, Manufrance 12G R/H, restricted 3 shot pump action, 28inch barrel give or take. Serial no. 137304, probably not fired more than a 100 cartridges through it. In decent condition to be honest, but not something I personally like shooting. Not sure on choke - maybe 1/2. £150ish. 2. Sarriugarte Century 12G R/H, over and under, non ejector, and double trigger. The auto safety has been disabled - I assume for clays, but could be wrong. The barrels are 28inches, in good knick, with no internal damage. I use it as a game gun so has some scratches on the beading, nothing major though. Action is good, and overall a decent game gun over rough terrain. Not sure on choking, feels like 3/4 and 1/4. £300 3. And finally a Gorosabel Side by Side, 12G R/H, "bell" special steel, non ejector, double trigger. 29 inch barrels, maybe some slight damage in the barrels, but never used it since it was bought for me. Bought as a game gun as well for a rough shoot, but like my Baikal more lol. £170 ono
