If I was you I would ask for at least 300 to hold and preferably 500 with a 300 purchase facility. That is totally reasonable for anyone who reloads. Re using two types of ammo - very few different loads will shoot the same so you will have to keep adjusting your scope which is not really a sensible idea. That is esp true for 40grn to 50 or 55gn. I strongly suggest you use one round for all applications to avoid considerably different trajectories. OR Buy QR rings and have two or more scopes. I do that with my 325WSM with Leupold rings and bases and never see a difference from off/on with any scope. It lets me shoot anything from 100gn through 250gn but with 3 scopes mostly 150,180 & 220gn.

I have a lot of surplus powder and expanding bullets for a a 222/223/22-250 and just wondered what sort of price folk are paying for powder at the present - I can then advertise it/them at a sensible price.

Use a controlled expansion bullet on deer eg Sierra SP not VMax which expand quickly and are therefore not only illegal for deer but also cruel as they can easilly wound rather than kill. The Sierra which are very reasonably priced will be fine on foxes as well as a fox pelt has approx the same resistance as a deer skin. See the NI Police Forensic tests !

I have a 12b Baikal D/T Ejector in extremely nice condition (like new) with a stock that has one of its sides broken off – glued back on for a pattern but not safe to use. I have a very nicely figured part machined blank to use for it. A professional stocker would probably take 8 hours to get it to the stage of putting on the finish but if you are a first timer you must be prepared to take 3-4 times as long. Mark - That IS my shooting wagon. Just because it’s for shooting it doesn’t have to be tatty. In fact I have found something that doesn’t go wrong works out cheaper than something that always breaking down and wants repairing; as well as the frustration involved. I have removed the back seats, made up a platform with space under for 2 of those under bed boxes as well as a slot for my rifle. The plastic deer tray is clipped to one rear window surround and drops down in an instant and it is proving ideal for the purpose required. It is just that it is so nice to drive we trend to also use it for the odd trip as well as shopping.

I paid just over £3000 and spent on full service new cambelt and new rad just for peace of mind at about £600 total - even with new exhaust and tyres off ebay its cost less that £4100 and its the best car i have ever had new or old.
