If you dont get sorted I am sure I have a set of new Leupold style bases and rings that will work for you. (Probably Leupold bases and Redfield rings.) They will be a lot better quality but I will let you have them for £35 + P&P - Now thats cheap ! If interested I will need your email address.

I have a PacNor Contoured & Polished Super-Match Grade Stainless Steel threaded & chambered barrel ready to screw onto a Howa WSM action in 325WSM – it is also ported. £175 + P&P (This has been 'shot in' and has seen 87 rounds. Sizes The 325WSM 24 inch barrel diam is 1.21" immediately after the thread and is then only parallel for approx 1.75" before tapering to .716" at 15" and down to .645" at muzzle. Now here is an offer for you. I have a 12b Baikal D/T Ejector in extremely nice condition (like new) with a stock that has one of its sides broken off – glued back on for a pattern but not safe to use. I have a very nicely figured part machined blank to use for it. A professional stocker would probably take 8 hours to get it to the stage of putting on the finish. I would probably take twice as long so you as a first timer must be prepared to take 4-5 times as long. You can have the gun and wood for £100 and if you make a mess of it you can buy a s/h stock for about £40 and refinish it and still have a very nice O/U for £140 Pictures - mry716@hotmail.com

Pop the pad into boiling water for 10-15 secs - take out and hold over a curved former until cool it will set like that (try a saucer?). May need a sniff more 'bend' than you think as some spring back a little.

You can legally post the whole gun or rifle (barrells included) to an RFD as long as you dont include ammo but cannot receive it back directly by post as you need to deal with the return on a face to face basis. That is usually via your local dealer.
