No point. Find conclusive evidence and present it to the world and the Putin lovers will still declare NATO conspiracy. EDIT: Might as well stick an investigation of who just blew up Sauron’s favourite bridge on the list too. He is not going to like that. Nevertheless, his invasion and his war is going to plan and he remains a master tactician at all times etc.

I have just ploughed through the rest of this thread. My understanding of the case is that the alleged perpetrator has a cast iron alibi for some of the postings in that she can prove she wasn't the poster. That leads onto her "defence". Yes, in all of this, she is entitled to put forward her defence, easy as that may be to forget 🙂 Whilst we're all being told we don't know what we're talking about, my prediction is: 1. no further action against the alleged perpetrator 2. surrey police being dragged over the coals for acting as the rent a muscle for a serial complainant who is now in the habit of using the police to settle on line spats that didn't go their way. 3. everyone wondering how 4 people got stabbed 200 yards from Bishopsgate nick trying to stop a phone robbery at 10 am. As for victim and rowing back as to whether there has been a crime.... Well, let's park the whole alibi / it wasn't even her bit and look at the words “What she did to her own son is illegal. She mutilated him by having him castrated and rendered sterile while he was still a child.” It's all rather interesting because of course a child under the age of 16 doesn't have the legal locus to consent. If I asked any of my kids at a young age if they would like to undergo an operation to change them into Spiderman they would do it in a heart beat. So, what is the position if the child later reaches adulthood, is insistent that informed consent was never provided / capable of being provided, claims to have been manipulated by parent and wants a reversal and to sue everyone involved.... which is exactly what's going on everywhere right now, then isn't all that lot adding upto a crime on the part of he parent? Serious question. If the procedure wasn't medically necessary, wasn't in the best interests of the child and wasn't with the child's consent (and query the extent to which a child can legally provide consent) then it all gets rather interesting. Too dangerous, your boyfriend would have me thrown out of a window.

Oooh yeah, that gets a nod of approval.

Still babbling on about a proxy war? Check the dictionary definition and ask who kicked this off by invading whom? Russia opened the door, the US obliged and walked through it. Putin is a master tactician of course
-
A proxy war is defined as (and I quote) “a war instigated by a major power which does not itself become involved”. Russia invaded Ukraine. Ukraine asked the world for support. The US has predictably tripped over itself to lend a hand to an invaded and set upon sovereign nation. When England was isolated in WW2 and fuelled, fed and armed by US shipping and supplies, was that the US’ proxy war on Germany? Thank you. You’re right. What’s a tank going to do on its own against a drone? It’s all new now
-
But all of your reply is straight off Russia Today. I can't believe that you are arguing that the Russian invasion wasn't for the whole country, when it was all points of the compass. As for threat to Russia? Really? And we are told that NATO should be searching for a negotiated solution - perhaps Putin should have tried his own medicine before creating this mess. We will see who is right and wrong as the months progress. You have been demonstrably wrong so far and I don't see that changing. This will roll on and the Yanks will happily fund it because it's almost the perfect scenario for them - no loss of US life, weaken Russia and flog a load of kit and debt on. And Putin made it happen. If it wasn't so tragic it would be funny. Putin needs an excuse to reverse out now and manage to keep his own head attached to his shoulders. 1. what turned 8 years of aggravation into an invasion, bypassing political and negotiated outcomes? 2. The suggestion has been made that Russian soldiers are trained for Winter - maybe, in the 2 months training these conscripts will have. Let's hope the boots reach them - trainers and slip ons aren't great for winter. 3. I am pretty sure that ukranian military will receive better on the ground / local support than the invaders. Indeed, reports are that anyone who previously lived in ukraine and was supportive of Putin has already made way to the Russian border because they can see what is coming. 4. funding - the US will fund this for as long as it takes. Forever and a day because it suits them far too well.

We’ve had the stats on what is needed to take and occupy Ukraine, a country three times the size of the UK; a million troops and all the kit, support and supplies they need. Putin has forcibly called up less than 500,000 untrained civilians to fight in a non aggressing neighbouring country. 500,000 military age men have since fled Russia to avoid being called up. Conversely, Ukrainian morale and cohesion is high and this is reflected in military gains and progress. All those early reports about crumbling moral and Zelensky without support? Anyone who previously swallowed all that Kremlin propaganda want to revisit their position? I don’t see how Russia can win this - seriously. At the start I thought it was possible - super power run by a master tactician and all that nonsense. But this has laid bare that they are a shambles and corrupt from top to bottom - absolutely nothing works as it should. This will go down as the biggest military mistake in history. Oh and what underlies all of this is that despite what the Kremlin says, the Ukrainian people really really just don’t want to be part of Russia or under Putin’s boot. That doesn’t appear to me to be that unreasonable. Oh and these are absolutely brilliant. I’d urge everyone to follow DarthPutin.

You seriously think she’s under any obligation to cooperate with any investigation, especially if she considers herself innocent and harassed (which is the way it’s going). You are delusional. Your support of the police arresting a housewife on an allegation of hurty words (allegation now since dropped) by a serial nuisance is interesting as too your ignoring the waste of resources - and today 3 people were stabbed in broad daylight 200 yards from a police station in london whilst trying to stop a phone robbery. I guess the police were busy out harassing housewives eh?

Oh and this is really worth a read. https://snyder.substack.com/p/how-does-the-russo-ukrainian-war?utm_campaign=auto_share Extract: “Speaking of nuclear war in a broad, general way, we imagine that the Russo-Ukrainian War is all about us. We feel like the victims. We talk about our fears and anxieties. We write click-bait headlines about the end of the world. But this war is almost certainly not going to end with an exchange of nuclear weapons. States with nuclear weapons have been fighting and losing wars since 1945, without using them. Nuclear powers lose humiliating wars in places like Vietnam and Afghanistan and do not use nuclear weapons. To be sure, there is a certain temptation to concede mentally to nuclear blackmail. Once the subject of nuclear war is raised, it seems overwhelmingly important, and we become depressed and obsessed. That is just where Putin is trying to lead us with his vague allusions to nuclear weapons. Once we take his cue, we imagine threats that Russia is not actually making. We start talking about a Ukrainian surrender, just to relieve the psychological pressure we feel. This, though, is doing Putin's work for him, bailing him out of a disaster of his own creation. He is losing the conventional war that he started. His hope is that references to nuclear weapons will deter the democracies from delivering weapons to Ukraine, and buy him enough time to get Russian reserves to the battlefield to slow the Ukrainian offensive. He's probably wrong that this would work; but the rhetorical escalation is one of the few plays that he has left. As I'll explain in a moment, giving in to nuclear blackmail won't end the conventional war in Ukraine. It would, however, make future nuclear war much more likely. Making concessions to a nuclear blackmailer teachers him that this sort of threat will get him what he wants, which guarantees further crisis scenarios down the line. It teaches other dictators, future potential blackmailers, that all they need is a nuclear weapon and some bluster to get what they want, which means more nuclear confrontations. It tends to convince everyone that the only way to defend themselves is to build nuclear weapons, which means global nuclear proliferation.“ So, in short, don’t fill your pants about nukes because that leads to talking ourselves into throwing Ukraine under the Russian bus. Also, don't give into bullies. I agree. The war will continue, Russia will be severely weakened and Putin will lose.
-
Just more delusional guff based on it all being NATOs fault for helping supply Ukraine and where the world should have sat back and let Putin roll in and over Ukraine. Well, it’s not gone like that has it. As for the threat of nukes - that’s always been there. Nothing has changed save an amplification of ‘let the bully have what he wants or he will press the button’. Appeasement never works - the civilised world will just end up butting heads with the Russian invading war mongers in Finland, Moldova or Slovakia as Putin forcibly stitches the USSR back together. Love the victim blaming though. It’s still everyone else fault, never Putin’s.
-
Again, heaping scorn on Zelensky? Why? How even? No matter. He's more popular than you right now 😀 Well, the Russians have nukes and it's up to them if they use them or not. They drop a small yield nuke; well assuming it works, that's them and North Korea all on their own. McHugh has posted about how the Yanks looked at using them 50 years ago - fascinating. They didn't though did the, and presumably because they knew that once they opened that Pandora's box.... As for defenseless citizens, these are the same ones invaded and murdered by Putin? You could ask all the dead defenseless citizens of Ukraine if they would prefer death by occupation and torture or nuclear bomb. Besides, it doesn't matter. This is a game of chess and Putin is a master tactician 😆 All his moves from the start and the invasion have lead to this moment now - all part of his grand master plan. He's a tactical genius dontcha know. Strange to think that until now Russia has used it's highly trained, highly motivated, crack professional soldiers and Ukraine has just used its citizens which it called up in an unplanned hurry. Also amazing to think that a modern and open economy like Russia has a limitless supply of own produced and imported modern weaponry, munitions and tech, oh, and that everyone back home will continue to support the invasion of a neighbor when more dead are sent back home although who doesn't love a Lada right?
-
They do rather look like they are clearing out to drop a tactical nuke. Inside Russia the biggest thugs are scrambling for the top table, the head of Wagner being out in front. Putin needs a deeper bunker and a longer table. Aside from giving the bully all that he wants (and at the same time the world might as well throw in Finland and Poland) Russia has always had a big stock of nukes, AK47’s and cannon fodder, it’s just that Vlad has painted himself into a corner and it’s go big or go home time. He remains a master tactician at all times of course 🙄

I know people slag off the Mail but that’s a good article and the top to bottom of it. Interesting to see that the complainant who had previously had beef with / reported mumsy to the police, went on to withdraw her complaint yesterday, not to the police force but on a TV show, of course. What ridiculously wasteful exercise we’ve all just paid for. In the article it lists other police action / attempts at prosecution including that of ‘misgendering’. Holy moly, is it now the case that calling Eddie Izard a dude or referring to him as a him / a fella is a criminal offence or a potentially criminal offence? Wow. If that’s a fifth true then the lunatics really are running the asylum and we’re all screwed 😆 Shapiro always said that the beginning of the end was being prosecuted for stating facts, including biological facts.
-
McHughCB has it and has spent today (like everyday) listening to nothing other than Kremlin ‘news’ interspersed with some screeching peoples party ‘news’ from North Korea. You will have to pick it up on your way home together with the topless photo of Vlad riding a horse, but you’ll probably have to wrestle him for it.

Belfield is a card carrying stalker loon and is not relevant to the matters to hand. There is an on-line war going on and at the centre is gender and offence. If you fall foul of the ‘be kind’ brigade they will seek to ruin your career, your lives and have you arrested as many times as the local wooden tops will oblige. Seriously, 2 police on the doorstep? It couldn’t be dealt with with a phone call and an invitation to attend a pre-arranged interview? Police resources need prioritising. Got an open murder on your books, don’t you dare send two people out to investigate, arrest and book a housewife and mother for hurty words or disagreeing with you that gender is binary and not affected by feelings. There should be some police log / record of known time wasters. Getting people arrested in their homes on the say so of a serial complainer without foundation - it’s just ridiculous and a terrible look for the police. This case will run, and we get to watch.
-
It is either an isolated pariah state or the shining beacon of freedom. I know which is more probable. No one fled to Russia for asylum or to flee persecution. It's a big old world and if you needed to flee to Russia then you needed somewhere to hide with no questions.
-
Slow does not come close.
-
Errr it was her husband taking photos on his phone. I'd hope my other half would do the same if I ended up in a similar situation. Modern day life requires evidence and photos - indeed, these days, if there's no photo, it didn't happen.
-
But where does it say that I or anyone need have a rational debate with someone who is demonstrably irrational. You can fill the space with as many words and videos from the obscure corners of the internet as you like, but the red line is that if you can't or won't see Putin as having put a foot wrong in any of this mess, then I get to stop listening and will resume laughing and pointing. People often say that they have a balanced view just to try and add credibility or establish a reasonable approach, but often that is window dressing for extreme and unbalanced views. We've been picking at that scab for a hundred plus pages and it came off last night - seriously, how do you begin to debate or discuss any aspect of this with anyone who just can't find any criticism to make of Putin? Fill you boots from here on in, as you say no one is listening. I am happy in the knowledge that the list of names in my echo chamber is longer and filled with less nutters than yours 😆
-
That’s your mental leap in this, where your mind jumps to to underpin and justify your thoughts and unerring support of Putin’s regime? Whatever.
-
Simple enough example save that Putin has had way more people tortured and murdered. You remain free to think what you wish and support whoever you want, and I remain free to pour scorn and mock you accordingly 😉 .
-
I’m a big fan of free speech too but it’s not a wholesale protective blanket the way you may think it is. If I said ‘that Ian Brady, lovely fella, misunderstood and I don’t believe all the evidence against him because I watched some conspiracy videos on the internet and I think he was framed and set up by the government / a global conspiracy / the lizard people’, whilst I may be entitled to hold that personal opinion no matter how utterly deluded, abhorrent and crackpot it may be, that does not make my own opinion factually correct nor would it stop other people judging me, chins on the floor and aghast at the deluded nonsense I was spouting most of which being demonstrably and factually incorrect. Now swap out Ian Brady for Putin, and we end up where we are now.
-
No threat to Russia, invades a neighbour and starts a war leading to enormous loss of life and economic ruin and you can’t find anything to criticise. You’re a brainwashed Russian shill and you want us to take you seriously? Awkward. Apparently not 😆
-
So, it looks like Russia can’t re enforce, no one wants to go to Ukraine, most of the kit they thought they had they don’t have because of corruption and now the economic prediction is the collapse of the Russian economy as all the people leaving for the front leave jobs unfilled. It’s looking bad for Russia for an invasion and a war of their own making. Converseley Ukraine moral, kit and on the ground support remains high and their territory gains grow. So, at this juncture the shills bang on about understanding the reasons behind the Russian invasion and offer up an apology for Putin, dig up some prehistoric guff on Bush and we have more random YouTube stuff no one will watch this time about Nordstream and a conspiracy theory I’d guess (having not watched the clip). Why? No one cares. We’re all watching the Ukranians push the Russians out and want to know when they get to the border. Absolutely bonkers. Thanks for the last paragraph and the confirmation.
