45 over fresh drillings 5146

Went out on Saturday morning, set up at 6.30 with a field full of pigeons over drilling a few days old, they started to come back in 3's and 4's at about 10 but didnt really have a steady supply of birds until about half 11. gonna try a 5am start this Saturday to see if birds will come back a bit earlier after knocking them off. do keeping on a small shoot in north yorkshire , we pay £3 per acre to hold shooting rights and roughly about £200 per acre of arable land taken for game cover, but should always expect price to vary slightly depending on the site of the ground to be taken up. eg. on edge of wood where crop might not usually produce aswell could be cheaper thana plot on fertile south facing field.

Northallerton shooting and country supplies in North Yorkshire normally have a good range of steel shot ammo and i have bought rio steel ammo from them before. this is their website but they dont list cartridges so its hit or miss wether they will have any in stock. www.nsac.co.uk

I get a fairly regular supply of seed scraps from a budgie breeder, they can be fussy about the seed and seem to waste quite a lot. try a local pet shop or look up local budgie clubs. its not vast amounts but every little helps.

Looking for more shooting around bedale area willing to travel within 20mile radius , vermin control and also any shooting rights for game cheers Dan
