  1. When i got my last few boxes of hornady the gun dealer had federal 180 grain soft point .308 win, there the same price as the hornady SST
  2. Thanks for the info, i'm using factor hornady i don't reload at the minute, but they are 150 grain SST for a .308, 29.50 a box so there not the cheapest round there is, If i hit a chest shot and hit a bone there is massive amount of damage to the meat, i remember taking a hole shoulder of a few times that was very badly damage and couldn't be used. Its most red deer, lowland deer so there are very well feed, a few sika but not much.
  3. I using hornady SST at the minute but i find that they make a massive amount of damage if i shot in the chest area, there perfect for neck shots but at longer range i'm more comfortable shooting at the chest. What would be a good replacement for the SST? i have be using them for a year and its the only type of bullet i have used before.

  7. Thanks for the advice, Its mostly mallard and widgeon duck i'll be after, there could be more on the lake i'm not sure, If i was to go calling today, is it as "simple" as to go out somewhere in the lough and start calling the ducks or is it best to pick a good postion on the lake.

  12. We found a fox den in a small wooded area about 2 mouths ago, we shot 5 cubs and a vixen with 3 days, late in the evenings and early in the morning, about a week after we seen another 2 cubs and the dog fox, not long after we shoot the dog fox on his own with no cubs. We just thought it was a lot of cubs to get in the one litter, not sure if the cubs have still alive or not. Does any know what is the average litter size of its this a normal litter size?
