  11. I have a set of 4 choke tubes for a Beretta 20 bore. They are quarter, Half, Full and skeet. These are either new or as new, The skeet is still on its blisterpack card. Getting on for nearly £100 worth of chokes here available for £50 including p&p Cheers Steve
  12. Thats OK then as ive got an ongoing Feral job and ive taken the odd ringer out too by accident. When your sniping them and you can only see head and neck its difficult to know until they are on their backs with legs ( and rings ) in the air. Luckily it has only happened twice !
  13. Here ya go folks... This is the photo Deako was referring to ! Cheers Steve

  16. I sacrificed an old pair of DPM trousers and then got in touch with my feminine side and had a bash on the wifes sewing machine. Results below.. a nice snug fitting fore end gun sock in DPM which not only camos the gun it also protects it against knocks and scratches.

  18. What chokes are you guys using for sporting clays ?
  19. This one hasn't..its definately listed as an open topic. No worries !
  20. Are you shooting the crows from a hide? If so, you and your mate both get in the hide, then one of you leaves and walks away to another area of the field etc. The crows see you leave and assume it is now safe. They may be extremely smart but they cannot count
  21. Try building a makeshift nest on the ground in view of the birds. then put a couple of eggs in it from the fridge, make sure one is broken open with the contents clearly visible. This has certainly worked for me in the past.
  22. I agree. I use AA field round headed pellets for pigeon and crow shooting, both suffer the same fate. Ive tried several different makes but the AA fields really seem to suit my S410 . By the way....everygoodnamewastaken,......I see you are located in Glasgow, where do you shoot ? I am in Perthshire.

    Rats

Cat food is ideal rat bait. The cheaper the better because it generally smells stronger the cheaper it is. Its best if you liquidise it too so they have to say around long enough for you to get a shot or two, otherwise they grab a chunk and disappear off to eat it . Another trick to try is to get 2 housebricks, preferably the ones with frogs in ( thats the void in the top which you fill with cement ). You fill the void with the contents of a tin of sardines ensuring some of the sauce runs down the side of the brick. Now place the other brick on the top so the rats can smell the sardines but cannot get at em. Good luck !
  24. I am right-handed but left eye dominant. I learnt about it the same way as you too. I always shot right handed and couldnt hit a barn door at 3 paces. Someone then suggested it was my eyesight so i tried left handed shooting and to be honest it feels more natural than righthanded now. Mind you, its the only thing i can do left handed What is your left handed gun ?
