  1. It looks exactly like a stage one (LWB series three V8) but it can't be an original if it's tax exempt because they didn't exist until '79 and only made for a few years. I should point out I'm a complete land rover nut haha
  2. The stage ones had leaf springs all round. No coil springs until 83 on the 110.
  3. I've been in Pensnett since Feb, but originally from Kingswinford. I think the fact that it's so built up here and as soon as it gets a bit rural all the long standing shooters have had their permissions for years. I have some little bits over Stourbridge, but I feel like I'm wiping them out so I am reluctant to go too regularly, which is proving problematic for getting the pup running, and this being his first season I'd like him to get out as much as possible.
  4. Totally off topic and none shooting related, come January I finally want to finish my challenge truck ready for the season next year. I moved it into a friends unit today and it's the first time I'd even looked at it in about four months haha ..and spend a lot more time catching (if I'm lucky) monster pike!
  5. Struggling to add to the permission I have already, and there aren't many rabbits there as it stands (lucky to SEE a few let alone catch them recently) and was wondering if there was a kind soul who could allow me to buddy up on any of their permissions. I use an air rifle day/night, ferret and am trying to train up my young lurcher, but with very little work for him I am finding it very difficult to get him into a working routine. Any offers or leads would be massively appreciated and I'm more than willing to pay back any favours if I can!
  6. Got these earlier in the week, get me warm working on the roads this week, would definitely recommend them!
  7. This year as it's mine and the missus' first Christmas on our own I wanted something different so we're having the current vogue of a multi-bird roast. As it's just the two of us I thought something inside a goose would be a bit excessive, and I'd be eating it in me packed lunch 'til who knows when, so it's going to be a pheasant inside a duck plus the trimmings. I can't wait!
  8. My lurcher wouldn't sit still with a hat and scarf on like that! Despite all the attempts by the missus this week
  9. It pays to shop around. It baffles me on what certain vehicles cost in terms of insurance. My old mule 110 is £50 cheaper than the little daily drive VW polo I bought for the missus, despite being heavily modded and having a stonking great V8 under the bonnet?! Plus the rate Land Rovers get targeted these days, I thought it'd be through the roof, however the little polo works out more? I'll never understand it...
  10. That looks the mutts nuts! It'd look a treat being sped down the cut by me
