  7. The chap at McNab said that any tighter and steel can rip the chokes out !! I guess as its not as malable as lead when it reaches the constriction it can grip the sides with immense pressure That would surprise something !! 36grms of steel and a choke up its backside

I have just got a Tom Tom and can only say its fantastic, easy to use, clear directions and also links with my mobile for a hands free via the unit.
  9. Spoke to McNab who confirmed that this is magnum proof, can also use steel, but they said dont choke any tighter the 1/2.

  13. Can any one clarify for me, I have a McNab Lowlander with 76mm (3") chamber, does this mean that it will take loads marked as "Magnum", i have heard people refer to 3" as magnum but thought it was more to do with pressure limits. I have been given some t. matrix cartridges marked as "magnum" which i will use for geese later in the year if the guns upto it not sure how to tell.
  14. Hi Bobfly & welcome
  15. Interesting article in sporting shooter, testing various size cartridges, the conclusion arrived at was that size 7's 32 gr with skeet choke gives an effective killing range of 45 yards, cylinder 43 yards and they therfore consider this the best combination. I usually use 30 gr 6's with 1/4 & 1/2 but i am going to try 32gr 7,s with cylinder & 1/4 next time out.
  16. I bought a couple from shoot warehouse about a year ago and think they are great, they give nice movement in a breeze, the only thing you have to do is use some emery paper to take the shine off when you get them.
  17. Ummmmmmmmmmmm??? Perhaps its a gateway to a parallel "Pigeonwatch Forum" in another dimension, the slightest change could alter the course of history

    True Story

This is an exact replication of a National Public Radio (NPR) interview between a female broadcaster and US Army General Reinwald who was about to sponsor a Boy Scout Troop visiting his military installation. Female Interviewer: So, General Reinwald, what things are you going to teach these young boys when they visit your base? General Reinwald: We're going to teach them climbing, canoeing, archery, and shooting. Interviewer: Shooting! That's a bit irresponsible, isn't it? General: I don't see why, they'll be properly supervised on the rifle range. Interviewer: Don't you admit that this is a terribly dangerous activity to be teaching children? General: I don't see how. We will be teaching them proper rifle discipline before they even touch a firearm. Interviewer: But you're equipping them to become violent killers. General: Well, you're equipped to be a prostitute, but you're not one, are you? The radio went silent and the interview ended.
