To be honest I’ve no idea!! I bought it a couple of weeks before Covid 19 kicked off so it’s not been used by me at all, I’ve got a std no4 as well but I did have a best quality boxlock a few years ago, one of many I should never of sold lol
-
all sold now thank you
-
Thanks Mrphanton I only asked as I have an AYA no4 with a Churchill rib that is 28” barrel also has a scalloped action like the deluxe I was curious when I bought it so enquired with ASI and Edward the MD kindly sent me this below, nice little gun to own Thank you for your email enquiring about information on your AYA shotgun, serial number 577885. The gun in question is actually an AYA Nº 4 built on the 'Best Quality Boxlock' action. It was made in 1992 and sold to a dealer in Suffolk, so it has not moved far in its life! It was not a special order as such, but it was part of a small production run of guns finished as Nº 4 but with the scalloped action and 28" Churchill ribbed barrels - a kind of limited edition.

Why would a Churchill rib suggest it has shorter barrels ?

Teague invector plus extended and ported chokes
sishyplops replied to sishyplops's topic in Other Sales
Will hold out for a job lot sale , but will readvertise when the lock down restrictions are lifted -
From what I’ve had and seen they are a bit all over the place seen some plain sporters and some engraved with swirl type pattern, I’ve not seen a standard 303 field , mine which is as mentioned a deluxe version, it has much nicer wood but I find the forend a bit clumpy and much prefer the sporter forends as they are slimmer , I’d like a 30” multichoke barrel for it if anyone is selling one
-
It’s a lovely gun I looked to sell it a few times but I think I would regret it , I bought it from Simpson’s in 2014 still got the receipt it cost me £500 then
-
This is mine, the only others I’ve seen with this engraving are in the states and have the birds inlaid with gold which looks a bit bling to me
-
I’ve got a very rare one , and I’ve never seen another, it’s a fabulous thing , I don’t find it heavy at all but it is a field model , I really don’t like the grip on the sporters and I’ve had several of the 300 series im fussy when I buy guns and really only look for mint ones had a 301, 2 or 3 302’s half a dozen or more 303’s including a 20bore , had later 391’s but the simplistic 303 is as good as it gets The only one I have now is a 303 field deluxe with a 28” 3” magnum barrel and yes it’s in mint condition not for sale though

I disagree on that , I use a shotkam on clays and can clearly see why I miss, when watching back 100 clay shoot I can say on each one if I’m going to miss it just by where the dot is , it’s easier on clays as it is a consists target but I found out the ones I miss I am generally above the clay , I bought it second hand albeit a month old and the previous owner had left some videos on it, as soon as I watched I said in front, in front , in front , in front it was that obvious , I assume they saw the same thing and solved their own problem , wouldn’t be without mine at the moment , love watching it back

Browning - Replacement Stock and Forends?
sishyplops replied to Matthew James's topic in Guns & Equipment
Assuming you’ve tried the obvious browning dealers , try premier guns -
I put mine in an ultrasonic cleaner , sane with ported chokes

Hi I’ve got a couple of 391 beretta urika forends for sale both 12g one is varnished and nice wood suitable for Mobil chokes it’s used and a bit sooty with a few marks (slight difference in fit I believe from optima chokes ) the other is an optima version and is pretty much new , I believe it’s xtra grain (so enhanced grain not the wrapped version) £30 for the Mobil version £40 for the optima pics on request plus postage of £6 I also have a stock that matches the Mobil forend but it has been shortened and is a bit cosmetically challenged but maybe good for a junior £15 plus post

Looking at your pics of your front tyres I assume that the car has a thrust line that has not been compensated for. the garage may have set the front toe correctly but if they have not checked and compensated for a thrust line you will have probs , think of it as following an old mini down the road when they crab as the subframes weren’t always straight , if you c max rear axle is not straight you will have a thrust line , let’s say it’s 3 degrees to the right, the rear is not adjustable on a c max I don’t think so the front wheels need to be set pointing in the same direction as the rear axle so also need to be set 3 degrees to the right , the tracking (toe) can be set before the direction to compensate is done , it’s easy peasy on a set of lasers
-
that answers that then!! many thanks
-
thats what i though so may just go in as a non registered shooter birds only
-
Hi all , are you allowed to use a Shotkam at a cpsa registered shoot? just want to check as cant find anything on cpsa website, as technically with a wifi model someone can tell you where you are missing with its instant playback
-
Can recommend Cens passives well pleased with mine
-
What media player are you using, great pic clarity on yours, I made the mistake of using fibre wads on a few, I thought wow I blew that to pieces only to see the whole clay fly past in the next couple of frames lol

wad and weight please
