Once did a rabbit at about 100 yards with a tweaked AA s410 through the eye. It Did a back flip an Olympic athlete would have been proud of :-)

Not sure? There's an escort turkey extreme in realtree camo that's similar to that one so I presume so!

Can the top lever on a right handed shotgun be converted to open to the left? It doesn't bother me that much I've been opening to the right for so long but I'm curious. Thanks

+1 for the above. Most evenings when I go for a walk around I have a realtree apg poncho in the boot of the car. If there's enough activity I'll have half dozen shell deeks in my game bag and I'll sit in a hedge bottom with my poncho on and just enjoy watching how the pigeons come in and how they feed on the ground. Its good to watch others coming in to the real ones. You will learn a lot from observing. You don't always need your gun!

Don't get hooked by all the gismos and gadgets, all tho they all have a place in the field and I don't no your level of experience, I would consentrate on perfecting field craft before lobbing your dosh. The basic minimum when set right can have great results. BTW I don't have any spare equipment, but I have started making magnets, will be testing the prototype this weekend so if alls well I'll send you 1 to get you started. All the best

There down the full length of the barrel but I'd say more noticeable at the chamber end. The gun smith has said its down to past owners neglect and lack of cleaning. He said the chrome as oxidising spots and the only way to remove them is to have the barrels honed.

Now then. Has any one ever used the aluminium foil method to remove rust from chrome lined barrels? I tried it last night and it works a treat. Wrap a strip of foil round a bronze brush and lightly oil it, scrup the barrels as normal, the rubbing causes the foil to break up making its own rubbing compound and it brightens them up very well.

Think I'll invest in some bismuth if that's what you recommend for non steel proofed guns.

I have an old AYA with crome lined barrels that appears to have black marks on the insides of the barrels. I've tried to remove them with bronze brush and cleaning fluid but they won't budge, any ideas what they could be and how to remove them? Is it the lining that's corroding away?

I'd just like to take my hat off to the couple we just caught in the field while combining, for waiting till we nearly finished to get up and casually walk off the land. Red faces all round lol. It's a bit to soon to be sowing your oats :-) :-)
