how you managed to get sgc without having a cabinet already fitted?

I no this has probably been covered numerous times but I have a 12 wk old lab pup. She walks nicely to heel on lead, sits nicely to verbal, hand and whistle, and I can stop her in her tracks no matter what she's doing. My question is I have a large paddock which I exercise her in soon as she's off lead her nose is down and she's away doing her own thing unless I stop her to do sits, recalls and short stays. Will this free running affect her future training when it starts proper? I no to let her be a pup while she's still very young but can you let them be to much of a pup?

This may seem a stupid question but how does a dog become a field trial champion? Does it have to compete in different test to achieve it? And can it have more than 1 against its name?

How do I preserve wings to use for training? I can't have them in the freezer as her in doors won't allow it and I'm not going to be using them for some time yet. Would you just air dry them with salt like skins or are there other methods? Thanks

Had to have my pup at vets yesterday because she was off her food. I thought it was down to her having her first jab but it turned out to be a virus she had picked up. Knowing I'd taken great care to make sure she was safe just having her in the garden I investigated a bit more and found that my neighbours dog had been to vets with the same symptoms and found out its been out ******* in my garden. Ill be paying them a visit tonight and gettin my vet fees back!

An old friend of mine used to train his pups with one of those blast bangers what gamekeepers an the like used to use for intruders. Just attached a line to it a couple of hundred yards long and gradually got closer. I no there cheaper than starting pistols and much more realistic to the sound the dog is going to hear in the field. I've aquired a gas bird banger that I will use when the time comes.

As title. I'm after some books or DVDs for training, I have an old book which is the complete guide to gun dogs by James Douglas but I would prefer a couple of DVDs or more informative literature if anyone has anything it would be much appreciated. Thanks

There's nothing wrong with the pups and it has an impeccable pedigree. It's the leaving it alone I'm worried about.

I need some advice guys. I've been offered a lab pup which will be 9wk old this Monday. Due to a bereavement the woman has to get rid of the pip an if I don't have it she's off into kennels. Thing is I work 8 hours 5 days a week. I no leaving a pup for this length of time is not good. I have 2 others that live outside during work. Shall I let it go or take it on?
