What to do with empty cartridges? How about fridge magnets.
hobgoblin replied to aris's topic in Craft and DIY Section
i've ued them for years on the end of sticks, easy to replace if you loose them too.a mate of mine...now read this carefully..... glues a tea cup to a saucer, glues a spent cartridge to the BOTTOM of the saucer,in the middle,"brass" to saucer, insert a stick to the cartridge.thus the cup&saucer can "sit" on the stick..With me so far? fill the cup with seed, stick it in the garden& BINGO a bird feeder!!!! we have tits in our cup.....make ya own jokes!!!! -
well they did'nt get it wrong here in dorset.....pissistantly wet so far all morn!!!!

inspiration from you guys as i'm off this eve for a bit of the same...it's just soooooooooooo cold out more like winter than spring!!!
-
as mentioned above WARM CLOTHING at the mo' plenty of layers that you can take off&put on i prefer.better to have it¬ need it than need it& not have it!!!,i've only been doing it a year¬ a brilliant permission but some days i can bag a few&i only have basic stuff about a dozen shell decoys 1 crow &half a doz' full body,ex mod cammo net doubled over on home made(washing line prop) poles..Whatever ya do ,enjoy it& be safe!!!

been out today....not a pigeon to be seen, plenty of gulls tho'(brief storey, father in law had a nice piece of homemade fruit cake, sat eating it on Poole quay, pointed to brownsea to show something& wallop!! gull took his cake..bl**dy big bit too,he was never 1 for swearing but he did that day!!)back to the field... i also had plenty of cormorants, buzzard& as i packed up a Perigrine!! so no wonder i had no luck!!!

wow very good brilliant work, but way too much for the average home knife maker but great to see craft is still out there.
-
I'd love to make one of these knives
