I would say its definitely 70 mm,2 3\4 inch chambered,itx a game gun.The chamber length must be stamped on the barrrels or flats of the action ,normally where the proof marks are.

Hi. if the barrels are 3 inch chambered they will be stamped 76mm ,70 mm if 23/ inch.As far as I know the Coral was always 23/4 inch thats 70mm chambered .

What is chamber length please?

The barrels on Baikals are always chromed so there should be no problem with steel as long as you keep to half choke or less.

These are real workhorses and they've had a face lift since I owned mine, 3" chambers an d multi-chokes .Would be tempted myself if nearer!

I have one ,I always check the tightness of the multichoke and the forend cap as they do tend to vibrate loose if you do a couple of rounds of clays etc.I think maybe the pitch of the threads is not quite right for the amount of vibration they receive. causing them to tend to loosen? Doesn't like 24gm loads but cycles everything else nicely.

Looks like it has electric 4x4 hubs at front , if these are not operating the drive will not engage.They just might need freeing??A good DIY mechanic could sort it for you at not great cost.
