  1. Hiya Bob.I am back on nights again in 10 days time.I will take my cam corder in with me and do a vid on the indoor range.I also want to get the Heavy ultra magnums to try out.So will do a vid on those too.I dont know whats up with the JSB's .I have used them for nearly 2 years with no problems. But the 2 new tins I got would not group. Thats a really good group SecretAgentMole
  2. Cheers mate They are the 7.9 grain so will get a tin or 2 of the crossman Premiers next time.I paid £7.50 a tin for the Accupells yesterday.I have seen them for more in other gun shops around here. What do you normaly pay for Crossman Prem?
  3. I have been using JSB Exacts 4.52 in 177 flavour with my hw100kt for the last 2 years.Last week I got 2 new tins and tested them out. They were all over the place I couldnt get more than 3 pellets to group in a 10p sized target at 35 yards. So I cleaned the barrel and tried again.Still the same. My Dad uses accupells so I got 40 or 50 off him to try out.I didnt clean my barrel and just went and tried them out. They were brilliant.Yesterday On my way to work I stopped off and got 2 tins of accupells so I could do some proper tests whilst at work last night. After some slight adjustments to my zero at 35 yards I was grouping all 14 of my shots inside a 5p sized target. Then from 50 yards I was getting a 10p sized group with only 1 or 2 straying outside. Accupells are now my pellet of choice
  4. Hi Jamie.I shoot on farmland at the moment with my air rifle and get to use my shooting partners .22 rimfire and shotgun when he is with me.Its just I am itching to get my own 22 and shotgun.lol.I have the cabinet installed and ready to be checked. Thanks Rich. I will take you up on that offer at the end of May if its ok with you and your wife of course:).I am on my four days off then.
  5. Phoned the Licensing office up yesterday and they looked my name up on the system. They said they received my application on Feb 19th and was still on the first stage(General checks) .The lady said it could be about 6 months.
  6. Thanks for the reply Wagtail .I will give them a ring on Tuesday for a polite enquiry.A friend of mine in the police force did mention me to our local FLO about a month ago to see if she had my application. But she hadnt seen it.She said it could still be at the Dorset Police Hq going through basic checks. I have sent you a pm mate regarding "Gun Bunny" Yes.I was a very Long range sniper with 50msl Regt(Lance missile operator)
  7. I will have to wait till I get home from work to fill it in.Just tried but the page expires each time I try to advance to the next page
  8. Hi all. I put in for my SGC and FAC on Feb 12th of this year and the cheque was cashed on the 19th of Feb.To date the farmer who's land I shoot my air rifle on has not heard from the police ref me shooting on his land nor have I heard from them.Do you think its too soon for me to phone them up and bother them about my Licence? Or should I wait a month or so.I know last year there was about a 6 month wait in the Dorset area but heard the back log has been cleared now.It might be just me being impatient as I am itching to buy a rimfire or a 17hmr.There are loads of rabbits out on my permision at the moment:) Anybody else in the Dorset area recently applied for a SGC or FAC ?
  9. Yep.They got my vote.Doubt if I will get a birthday card from the BNP this year as I didnt vote or join them. The BNP had some good views a few years back. The only downside is its run by a facsist/racist Tw&t.UKIP policies look way better and not run by a load of Neo Nazis.
  10. I have a 12ltr 232bar cylinder.Have been using it for 3 years with my Hw100 with no problems at all.£3 to fill up and lasts me nearly a whole year.
  11. That looks excellent mate. You have been buisy trying different I/R Light sources .What camera and torch did you end up with in the end.I am just trying out a 1w I/R dropin in my cree torch with an aspheric lense and blacked out reflector. Its ok but my sony cam corder is old and has a rubbish sized chip in it.The breser unit works ok as a spotter with the the i/r torch but once on the scope I can see about 35 yards.
  12. Thanks for the comments lads. Kenj...I tried your Rabbit burgers with chorizo last week. All I can say. There isnt many left from the batch I made.My Kids and grandkids love them. Will try a bit in the pasties next time too
  13. Thanks for posting Ken I made 60 today and added the sweet chillie sauce instead of the Worcester sauce. They smelt Boooootiful.Just have to try them out this weekend on the barbie with this mini heatwave that has been promised for the South coast Saying that...Anything above +4 will be a heatwave for us.

  15. Sorry wrong price is listed.I ammended it on Gun Watch.Price is meant to read £350 and NOT £380
  16. Being a person that likes to eat nearly all of the Quary I shoot I decided to try my hand at making some game pasties. I got the idea from reading Matt Mannings recipe in Air Gun Shooter and watching ANGOFS video on making Pigeon pasties which was featured on Airgun TV, on You Tube .But I modified it to make a game pasty The ingredients are as follows..... 2 x Pigeon breasts 1 x Pheasant breast 1 x small rabbit 2 x carrots 3 x Potatoes 1 x onion 1 x swede sea salt Black pepper seasoning 1 x chicken stock cube 1/2 can of bitter You can either make your own pastry or cheat and buy it already made as I did Firstly cut all the meat and veg into small pieces. Put the veg to one side and coat the meat in flour Add some butter to a large frying pan or WOK and Brown the meat off. It should now look something like this. Once it is all browned off,tip onto plate and leave to one side. Now put all the veg into the Frying pan and cook for about 5 mins or until going soft. Then add about half a can of Bitter or Real ale.Crumble the chicken stock and add the seasoning, pepper and salt and stir in.Leave to simmer for about another 5 - 10 minutes.Until the stock has firmed up a bit and looks more like a sauce. Now add the meat to the veg and mix in well. Now get your pastry and roll flat (to about 3mm) then get a 23cm plate and cut round it. Now its time to spoon in your filling. Beat up an egg and brush it round the edge of the round base before folding and sticking into shape. You should end up with something like this if you havent drunk to much of the ale whilst making the pasties And the finished product
  17. Hi Bob. That looks like it worked out realy well for you.A nice bright clear picture.Well done mate Was that the pulsar 940 you were using or the one you were waiting to come through?
  18. Hiya John. Havent seen you for a year or 2.Not since I gave up Kayaking. Have you thought about taking the animals to a slaughter yard(small family Buisiness) Like like Normans and Sons in Bridport.Thats not too far from you. When I was a butcher years ago we used to get all our meat from them. You got a lake on your land now?
  19. Hi everyone. My name is Mark and I am from Dorset. I joined here last month but havent got round to posting until today. There has been so much to read up on I own a Hw100 air rifle which I shoot on a large farm permission.Been shooting for 3 years now and just enjoy getting out. I am waiting for my shotgun and FAC licence to come through.Put in for it 2 months ago and am still waiting.I been told there is about a 3 month wait at the moment. Mainly hunt Rabbits and the odd woody,oh and the Rats which raid the grain hoppers on my permission. I like experimenting with night vision set ups on my air rifle which I havent had much luck with yet Just to say this is a great site with loads of good info its helped me with things I havent been sure on. Cheers lads Mark
  20. Hi Evo I must say. That is one of the best(easiest) set ups I have seen.Excellent work mate.Cant wait to see your results with your ir illuminator attached.I have been messing about with a sony cam and also a bresser unit but it has limited distance due to being attached to my scope And is also hard to use as the camera comes right back to the end of my stock and I get a cricked neck tring to look at the screen or down the bresser eye piece. Looking forward to seeing your final parts list as I think I would def go down the same route as you.Wish I had seen this before. It would have saved me money on all the I/R illuminators I have been trying out lately.
