My Bouncers turn up side down....
Marcusfisher123 replied to NickB65's topic in Pigeon Decoying Equipment
It might be that you are putting the birds on wrong on the wing spreader / spike. On the spreader there is a bit that drops down, if it is upside down it will make the bird spin. Hard to explain. Hope that helps. :s It might be that you are putting the birds on wrong on the wing spreader / spike. On the spreader there is a bit that drops down, if it is upside down it will make the bird spin. Yeah, they seem like good value for money. How quiet are they?

Hi, I have a air arms s200 with a air arms silencer on, but i still don't think its quiet enough. Can any body suggest a better silencer for my rifle?
-
Hi, im looking for some rabbit shooting in the exeter area. I use a silenced PCP air rifle with night vision, so no loud noise or bright lamps, also we do it all on foot so no driving around. We have the required licences and insurance. We are a farther and son team, so we normally shoot on the week ends. Let me know on any shooting. Cheers.

Use fuds and a mix of dead birds with one or two flappers, works really well for me.

Put up some pictures of them, and what price are you thinking of?

My scope said its a AOE type, is that ok -
Can you use any scope with any reticle or does the reticle have to be a special type. Would be good if any body knows, Cheers

If you put the rest on your barrel it will lift it a bit so when you shoot at some thing it will go straight over the top. What you should do is put the rest on the fore end so it wont lift your barrel.

What i normally do is go to the permission and have a look at how many pigeons are on the ground and where they are; so if you normally see about 10 pigeons feeding on the ground i would use about 10 decoys and a bouncer if needed. Hope this helps

yeh i have also found they work very well with my s200, they are very similar to JSB exact but not so expensive
-
I do some rabbit shooting with my air arms s200 and at the moment i use JSB exact pellets, but i was wondering if i would be more successful with a different pellet and if so what ones. Cheers, Marcus.

Cheers, i will get out there tomurrow -
I have seen lots of pigeons on a field of freshly drilled corn today, how long do you recon they will be on it eating the seeds on the serface for?
-
Try out Game bore Evo sporting 28g 7.5, they feel soft but they are quick and have a very good pattern.
-
You could use a flapper or a magnet near the flight lines to pull them off. Ive had more luck with a flapper but a magnet would do the job.

Using a air rifle it is good noise wise so they stick around, but if you decoys aren't set up quite right they wont sit long enough to get a shoot off. By using a shot gun you can still shoot them even if they are not quite decoying or if they are flying by.

This guy is nuts. Haha
