  1. I agree Andy. And I'm currently searching for one. It was a mossberg 935. I also had a jam up yesterday morning but luckily sorted it to get the second shot off and luckily dropped it. That was with my pump. Ridiculas realy how many times it has let me down when it counts. The 935 was twiggys gun which I borrowed as I fancyed getting one. Changed my mind now.
  2. Had the best flight I've ever witnessed on the solway last week only to have worst gun troubles ever. In total I had 5 miss fires and 6 jams. I did manage to get off 4 shots and one very unlucky pink came down. My mate 10ft beside me had 3 cracking pinks. Shall never borrow a gun again. Haha. All the birds were no more than 45 yards up. Gutted. But the silver lining to it all was the good retreives my little spaniel put in. Over the moon with her performance.
  3. I was given some gamebore super game 4s the other day but haven't used them yet. Hard to get hold of gamebore stuff regulary around me sadly.
  4. That's my next port of call , I will have to give him a call.
  5. I ment by preferred As in , steel rather than bismuth, tungsten or hevi shot.
  6. I'm looking for a descent duck load. Have been using banaghi but although good my gun doesn't like ejecting them . Needs to 2 3/4 inch , mainly for use over decoys. Steel preferred. Any suggestions?
  7. I heard that too . Camera is now strapped to my head and we shall see what comes along. Hopefully I've got it in the right position. If I manage to get it right then ile put it on youtube for you,
  8. Welldone steve. As I said in the week you were very lucky to get a chance there on a morning flight this year, been very poor so far as usuly its a very good early season spot especialy for mallard and canadas, esapecially with the tide up.
  9. That's a good bit of footage steve, ile have a look at the chilli cam. Now I recognise that marsh and the voice mr clark. Ile give u a ring sometime in the week and ask a few questions about the cam. Cheers. Rosco.
  10. Thanks for the replys. As you say geese would be a lot easyer to film, from what I've seen of filming ducks with them ,you can hardly see them. They don't seem stupidly expensive, will put it on the xmas wish list.
  11. Does anyone here have any experience of using these cameras whilst out fowling? What do you think of them? How do they perform in low light? Been thinking of trying to film my flights for a while now , would be nice to be able to look back on them in a fews years time especially the retreives. Have seen a few clips on you tube but it seems to me that the range that you can film with these is very limited.
  12. Got to the marsh a tad to early this morning, like always being too keen. Seemed to take an age for the flight to start but as I was trying to repremand the dog for his over excitement, a brace of mallard came down the tideline at an unmissable hight, well I duley missed them by a fair way. Next to come were a brace of geese, they also managed to get away unscathed. So now at this point I'm cursing profusely to myself,as I new exactly what I was doing wrong,I wasn't swinging through and was just stabbing at them which is due to me having a crack at clays the day before, I waited for another ten minutes before the next brace of mallard came through, this time swinging through correctly and dropping the front bird, the duck dropped nicely out on the water about 20 yards out which was a nice easy first retreive for the pup. I was very happy with the pups performance but as he offered it up I noticed it was a very imature bird, having nown that I wouldn't have shot. The rest of the flight was superb but no more shots were fired as they all seemed to be imature birds, nice to watch though.
  13. Thanks for all the replys, ile do alittle research on the coats that you lot recommended. Thankyou.
  14. What's you're preference ? I've bought over the years hundreds of pounds worth of coats from a mojority of the top brands that apparently are 100% waterproof, well there not and I'm fed up of getting wet and spending stupid amounts of money. I currently own a pro-logic and its not bad but it still leaks in heavy rain. Contemplating going back to an ex army gortex type jacket, never leak but sweat your balls off the minute u start moving.
  15. Thanks for the reply rick, the loads I use are just factory loads . Gamebore mamouth and bonaghi. The bonaghi tends to be inconsitant with this gun but great in my sbs. I'm going to try the mammouth 3inch 3s to see if there better.mod choke has always been a fravourite for me and I guess its probably down to the cartridge rather than the gun.
  16. Hi all. As this model has the slighty larger bore than standard 12b gunsand is obviously designed with steel shot in mind, do you use a slightly tighter choke than normal, I've been using mainly half choke which seems to work very well with my goose loads but with smaller shot it seems to be inconsistent, I have a full choke and was wondering if its worth using that with duck loads ( 36 grm 4/3 s)?
