So i take it you are not going to figure out why the dog start barking and try and train it not to then?
Wouldnt like to be your dog if you think strapping its jaws together all night is a good thing to do.
Ha ha
That's what it was mate, just a thought, that's why I thought I would asking on here 1st don't think I ever mention it was a good thing to do???
Thankfully loriusgarrulus came forward with an alternative to a muzzel
for which I'm very greatful and am looking into this evening
I also thank you for your input as well

Muzzeling a dog overnight untill you want to get up?
How about working out why he is barking at that specific time and take steps to stop it?
Do some training instead of going for the easy option.
I took my dog out training the other day, we had a session on going over obsticals.
Which went quite well, however when it came to doing a retrieve over the obstical he chose to go under instead of over.
I presume this was because it was the easy option?
Obviously he wasn't chastised because he was using his brain
It seems the easy option isn't just human nature??
Thanks for your advise

Innotek citronella collars. About £27 off eBay. Mine used to bark a lot as they set each other off at every little noise. Once the noise activated citronella spray has been set off a few times they learn to shut up. Peaceful round here now work a treat.
It might be that one of your neighbours is setting off for work on nearly shift at that time and is setting him off.
I wouldn't,t muzzle him as they should not be unsupervised with a muzzle on and overnight is too long to keep one on.
Thanks I'll look into it

My dog has adapted to his new kennel well.
The only problem I have is early morning barking at around 5:15am
I have a good relationship with my neighbours and wish for that to continue.
I have been thinking about muzzeling him at bed time through until I want to be awake.
Has anyone had the same issue? And has muzzeling worked?
Any thoughts greatfuly received
Thanks

Hi to all well my cocker bitch was due to have her c section tomorrow due to previous litters getting stuck. So I rearranged my jobs so I could be with her all day and my wife called me at 5.00pm and said that she is panting a lot so I rang the vets explained and was advised to leave work and bring her over. So I left my mate to finish the job off and it's a 30 min journey home and 20 mins into it my phone wheat again it was my wife asking where I was as she can see extra feet on the CCTV in our kennels so put my foot down and was confronted with a new black pup and one mor followed 30 mins after that so now pups and mum doing really well and I am well chuffed no c section for my dog .
Great stuff how many she had Mike ?

How old's the Cocker, Cookie69? Skinner's Duck and Rice is good stuff but I found my lot also had flakey skin on it - switched to the 23% (they do a lot of work/training) and they're all now like glossy seals
He will be 14 months old in a couple of wks I'll look into that
Thanks
Raw feeding

Hi guys
I didn't want to start a new thread as I seen this one.
I have been struggling to find the right food for my dog for the last 13 months
Skinners, cjs, back to skinners hypoallergenic.
Each switch seamed to have almost instant effect and firmed up his stool , but unfortunately not for long
He would go back to having copious amounts of poo which was almost impossible to pick up.
Over the last two weeks I have introduced him to natures own green minced tripe, comes in a frozen 400g pack.
I have given a raw carrot with this he has devoured every bit and his stool has firmed up.
My question , is he going to get all the goodness he needs from just tripe?
Or should I be mixing stuff with it?
Tonight I give him a little less tripe and gave a defrosted chicken wing and half a raw carrot.
I always thought I would be a dry food person but my dog seems to have other ideas.
Any advice will be greatly received
Thanks
Paul
