no defenatly a rabbit its out side of my work place, an inner city industrial park that used to be a recreational sports ground owned by standard triumph

in the 70's i used to watch my dads cousins play when i was a kid. i think they must be desendants of the rabbits who lived on those fields back then?

there isnt another suitable field for some miles that i can think of?

  4. I have been out on a freshly scuffled bean field today, plenty of beans still on top but relatively few pigeon feeding on it.

I managed 28 today only three or four actually decoyig the rest fly bys

One or two hit the ground that hard there crops had split revealing they had been gorging on wheat.

It was a very enjoyable afternoon made even better when I got my young cocker from the van to go and look for three birds

That dropped into a thick tree lined ditch

He found all three, not perfect deliveries but very satisfying as two of them were still alive.

Because he had been couped up I took him around the field let him work the hedge rows plenty of pheasant sent it was a joy to see him

Doing what he was bred for

  5. It's probably chyletiella mites,(called 'walking dandruff'). Frontline would be your best option.

Edited to say I saw a young lab get treated for t today and it got an all over frontline spray rather than the spot on. Hope that helps?

    Thanks for the reply

On close inspection it looks like flakey skin

I got some frontline in the cupboard I'll treat him now anyway

    Thanks again

    Paul

  6. My bean field was harvested Friday last week.
I have been watching it every day since and yesterday evening the birds finally seemed to have found it
With a nice flight line into the field.
Returned today and watched for two hrs with the intention to shoot.
then ****** me a tractor pulled on and started to plough it in )-:

  8. I had a drive around my perms today.
I came across a pea field that had been harvested and had started to self set, there were a few pigeon on it so I decided to set up.
With no dead birds just 5 shell decoys, I had to try and add to the pattern quickly.
Within half hour I had 2 these we're put onto a flapper and a floater.
From behind the hide I could see a few birds that seemed to be on a flight line and the flapper and floater managed to attract some attention .
The pattern gradually growing and birds comming off there flight line and decoying .
Once I had enough I also put the magnet out but this seemed to have a negative effect so brought it in quite quickly.
It was a very pleasant afternoon with a decent wind
ended up with 30 , 28 picked should have been a 40 day at least
    Missed a couple of sitters
Crops full of wheat, can't wait for my farmer to harvest his
