  1. Well as above yesterday i did my first ever days decoying pigeons and am hoping it wont be my last as it was brilliant! The gamekeeper gave us a ring mid week to tell us that hes got pigeons everywhere feeding on a game crop thats been cut or something, didnt really listen was just a little too excited by this point of the conversation and could we come down sunday to get rid of some and that he was going to set a load of decoys out and a hide up for us..all we had to do was turn up gun in hand and shoot them. cant ask for much more if u ask me! anyway sunday came round (very slowly) we turned up early moring to see pigeons all over the show, got set up and wot not and began to shoot..we had a few coming into the pattern first thing and quickly snatched them up and put them into the pattern..as the day drew on the birds became very few and far between taking shelter in some of the other woods. pigeons really aint stupid after youve taken a few down. the gamekeeper decided a few times to have a run out in the other woods and game crops with the springer & shotgun to get a few up and push em towards us. we tried all sorts to get them to come in but they were all swinging away at the last minute so something must of been spooking them. im new to this i havent a clue what like. i dont think i helped twitching and boping about in the hide dying to pop up and take the next one. anyway the day finished with 28 pigeons and a magie 5 pigeons of which we couldnt pick because of where theyd landed, some of them were quite high and landed in another piece of wood we couldnt go in. not a massive bag but im not complaining and neither was the gamekeeper. so it was a good day all round, and also been asked to go this weekend so smiles all round !

  6. First of all thanks for eveyones advice ! Its seems that a little birdy had been listening to us lot about a plan of action & went and told them because literaly withing two days of this they just disappered and still to this day i havent seen or heard anything. THANK GOD ! They just seem to have vanished either that or someone else in the area has beat me to it. However the chances that ive just jinxed myself wouldnt surprise me and tonight theyll be back with vengeance.

Really good day on worsley today hitting at least 75%-85% of my clays not brillaint and still plenty of room for improvement, mainly on the going away high type of clays.quite a few really fast paced clays on there make for some hard shooting but overall pritty good! everyone also seemed to have the same idea today aswell i think get one last day in before christmas because by gosh it was busy. nice to get a few pointers from a few friendly shooters aswell which has helped. 11. where i live to the back of my house is a rather large field that runs paralell with a train track (this field been council or english heritage owned) and for the past few months now these pain in the back side foxes seem to be getting louder and louDER and LOUDER every night or morning even around 4:30 am.. there doing that horrible alarm call that they do constantly for about and hour an half none stop.it dosent stop there tho they also love to use my garden as a walkway to the front side of my house occasionaly mooching round my ferret hutch in the process and then leaving a nice little xmas yule log on my grass... soooo basically in a nut shell... 1). me living in a built up area 2). not my land to shoot on 3). ripping my bloody hair out There dosen't seem to be a single thing i can do to get rid of these swines... does anyone have any legal suggestions to get rid of these *******.
  12. in this months Sporting Gun magazine they have done a review on them if u can get your hands on a copy have a read through, suprisingly they rate there a decent gun for the money and some of them certainly look the part! however im a bit of a beliver of ''you get what you pay for'' in life. so i tend to be a bit put off but would never say never.
