how long after a season for phantom preganacy to take place
one of my bitchs ( cali ) has bagged up on her last 3 pairs of teats , shes also not eaten for 3/4 days and just wants to sleep.
my other dog ( maizee ) as phantoms regularly but usually 5 or 6 weeks after her last season.
looking on the calendar cali is a good 8/9 weeks post season , is this liable to still be a phantom or something else
thanks
ps. not noticed any milk as yet ,but teats seem to be getting heavier

It was the insertion that hurt/uncomfortable - done in seconds - they just feel to see if it's enlarged.
Glad he only had thin fingers

my docs a women , but that was the last thing on my mind

prostate examination
just been to the docs ,
had for the last few days a very painfull bladder area and pain that seems to come from behind it too ( prostate area ).
really painfull if i need to pee before and after but not during , also feels uncomfortable in my back passage and getting lower back ache. very uncomfortable while sitting , feels like pressure in my rear end , even hurts while walking
had a DRE , and was asked if it hurt when the doc pressed the prostate .
thing is how do you know if its hurting or if its supposed to feel uncomfortable with some ones finger up your a$$ :yp:
question -- for those who have had it done , did it hurt a lot or just feel a bit tender
anyway doc thinks it prostatits and got 4 weeks of antibiotics :(

guys thanks - you,ve given me some food for thought there.
looking at ideas on the net and some are pretty hard
i cant see any point in getting heavy with her as all she really wants is to be with me and work for me .
SB - i think the more she squeeks the more attention i,m giving her , so valid point , i,ll only fuss her when she's quite at home .
in the field though i,m wondering what to do there , suppose the best i can do is to give a quick sharp NO and maybe a yank on the scruff. so it shows my displeaseure at the exact moment and make sure my timing is better.

How do you go about letting her out of the kennel in the mornings? Is she greeted with excitment, lots of verbals from yourself, food, lots of fuss?
How do you cast her off to start working?
yea she gets really excited when i greet her , i try
and calm her and make her sit first before letting her out.
maybe thats it i talk to her and she talks back
when waiting for a drive to start , i,ll sit her up , she stays put , but soon starts sqeeking with excitement. does same thing when the shooting starts , but cast her off and she quiet ( so far ).
other times if shes knows i,m about she want to be with me and crys then as well
-
one of my dogs ( cali ) as a habit of squeeking when she gets excited ie. waiting for the drive to start or even being told to sit and ignored for a while.
when shes working/hunting shes fine.
ive ignored it but its getting louder and more frequent
shes a bit immature at only 20 months , as shes had a hard start to life with 4 ops and plenty of complications this year , but i,ve finally got her out beating
trouble is shes always been a bit verbal in the kennel etc , and maybe i should of tried to nip it in the bud earlier.
so any ideas what can i do , was thinking water pistol , but shops dont have any this time of year.. any other ideas
thanks all

My Trooper 3.0 was doing 30 mpg round town, no problem, just driving smoothly, it would go down to 25 mph in 4th at idle speed.
Now fitted 33x12.5" Mudders so its a bit worse now, but the change in gearing means the engine revs have dropped a bit, so improving things once cruising.....still getting 28 mpg round town, don't think any other similar sized 4x4 will be significantly different, just get the one you like the most!
looking at the replies , i think they all look about the same
.
will stick with my 3.0 trooper for a bit longer i think .
re - mrs landy - its auto box - for those that know is manual box more economic
cheers

what do you use to waterproof your leather hunting , beating , walking boots eg - polish , wax , dubbing etc.
i,ve just finished off a tub of stuff ( cant remember the name ) i got from a game fair ages ago , mrs as used it mainly for her leather accessories
chap told me the other day though that it rots the stitching eventually
is there anything better
cheers

so how much is it going to cost
-
I should be so lucky... We are spending over £700 a month on petrol and diesel in our two cars....
what are you running :o
-
As a carry on from the cost of fuel thread
i like to know which is the cheapest 4x4 to run
at the mo i have my 3.0 trooper and wife as a disco and yes we do need them for firstly work ( trailer pulling ) , horses trailer pulling , and shoot access.
like every one else one my need to go and need to have a rethink on cheaper to run 4x4's
cheers
