  1. We have Quails, lovely eggs and very friendly birds.

what sort of set up do you need for quail please ??

    AND

if you were only going to keep 3 chickens , say in a ark and move it around the garden , which 3 would you go for??

    thanks

  2. Any washing machine techy's out there

we,ve got a Aquariues hotpoint washer and it was brill , did everything we needed , until this morning.

went to empty it from last nights washing and its still soaking , not only that its not washed at all just filled up and i drained it manually ( ie turned dial ).

i,ve turned it on empty to see what happens , but nothing other than filling with water and clicking alot but the dial ( which usually moves as washing progresses ) does,nt move at all , i had to turn to drain to get water out.

drum inside feels ok , turns manually at least and cant hear any scraping noises .

    any ideas guys

    thanks

  3. sad news mate  , what did the vet say re her being jabbed and still getting parvo virus.

its worrying , i,ve heard of other dogs that are jabbed getting it and one dog last month getting lepto and that was jabbed too.

i,ve just got maize boosterd this month and getting cali boosterd at end of month , £32 each my vet charged  , its not cheap but not worth taking a chance.

  4. Some believe that the Panacur may be a more gentle means of killing the worms rather than the Advocate. This may give less immune reaction so most people do use Panacur to treat. Advocate applied monthly is effective prevention. Stronghold has no licensed claim for lungworm although the active ingredient should kill it.

thanks apache :good: thats useful to know

    cheers

  5. cant we go back to the old ways....please :hmm:

i,ve bought and sold a few guns on pw and also like looking at sales section just for the enjoyment of it , nowt wrong with that is there ?

just hobbiest like the rest of us , why turn it into a buisness

  6. excellent read -- i,m mature myself 45yrs and have been thinking of becoming a student again to learn new skills to help get better jobs ,not sure what to do though as yet ( ideas welcomed )

so good on you :good: and go for it.

would be interested to know if there was any funding available to mature students  full or part time thanks

  7. could be mice mate

check you dont have any wasps nests up there.

i had same problem weird noises from the loft , until i found an old wasp nest and realised it was mice ( after finding odd droppings ) nibbling at it

  8. thanks for your posative comments chaps :hmm: heading needs changing to protective vest but cant do it from here .

i had 2 delieverd by CBUK , this one as just sat in the wardrobe

i wear one as pp while working on the doors , they certainly take the strain if someone takes a punch / kick / base ball bat to you  and protects your ribs well.

if i could afford £400 for a top qual vest i would of bought one , but this was better than nothing.

Alas its not kite marked and do not advise anyone to go into battle wearing one or get them selves in a situation where they might be at risk .

just like to add ,i did a home test

i requested spare panel to test , i strapped it to a hay bale and shot it at 5 feet with a 12 gauge then proceded to stab at it with a lock knife and it held together well , they are really strong but alas not worth taking a risk with .

hope that clears that up , may be of some use to some one .

    cheers
