  1. Well done, mate! I am surprised by the time of the year you can shoot hares in the UK! Here in Belgium the season starts on october 15 !
  2. I shoot pigeons in Belgium. I get up early and set up my decoys before sunrise. Those decoys are on the ground on wobblers. Then I shoot untill 11.00. After 11.00 I change plans . Because the pigeons have eaten by that time they are ready to rest ,so I put up decoys in the trees. The pigeons just can't stay away from them. That way I shoot untill 13.00 . From then on,if I have the time,I start all over again with the decoys on the ground untill 15.30 . At 16.00 I wait for them near their sleeping places (row of high oak trees in the middle of my hunting ground). I think it's a matter of knowing what "flightpaths" the pigeons have on you hunting ground. It's no use setting up all your decoys and your hide if the birds never fly over the place where you're waiting. So first observe a few days, then just sit on the right place and "hope". Good Luck
  3. Nice pics, mate! Congratulations from Belgium with your first buck!!
  4. Yep !! He likes Brora too !!
  5. Nice pics, mate! Also nice to read that your suit was made in Brora. I have very good memories on Brora! Have been hunting there a few times already ! Fantastic ! As a Belgian it was my first huntingvisit to Scotland !
  6. Good job, mate! Lovely looking dogs too! Good work, mate! Lovely looking dogs too!!
  7. He's learning...he's learning...Glad he's not bringing hedgehogs anymore. Hope the hedgehog is gone back into hibernation! Anyway,Jerome is completely on the pigeons now!!!
  8. No offence, mate! In fact I am waiting for a bit of winter. Normally we have temperatures below zero and snow this time of the year. Now it is much to warm...some birds are already making nests (magpie in my garden) and the first lapwings are already here. Global warming maybe?
  9. This picture was taken this week. Temperature didn't go lower then 10° Celsius this winter.we didn't have any frost up to today and this is the result!! Some trees didn't loose their leaves and some are already getting new leaves and are already green8
  10. Yep! After putting him back in the shrubs he ran away a few minutes later. Hope he's smart enough not to come back because I think my dog really likes him!
  11. My dog Jérome surprised me today.. I was out shooting pigeons. shot one and it fell down into the shrubbery. Jérome went for it and came back with...a hedgehog!!!! Think his knowledge of game is sometimes rather poor... ...Anyway,still like him to go shooting with me!!
  12. Hereby a photo of my best shooting friend,my three year old German wirehaired pointer,Jérome! No matter how bad the weather, no matter what I go shooting...he's always happy to come with me!!!!!
  14. Hello everybody, I am from the north of Belgium,Flanders, and enjoy pigeonshooting very mutch. I'm also into rough shooting and wildfowling on a regular basis but pigeons are my absolutely favorite game. I hope this way I can make some contacts and get some information and tips on shooting and hunting. Sorry for my "poor" English but I hope you guys understand me. Greetings from Belgium!!
