  11. On Sunday I was happily sitting in my hide when a man and women trundled across the nearby foot path all seemed fine, as I looked again she continued to pull her trousers down and have a wee while her partner in crime checked for local activity. (He didn't see me so hide must have been good) Just another day in the field....
  12. Well... there wasn't many options due to a tractor on the rape stubble so set up on the drilling bagged 16 in a couple of hours loads of birds on the field when I arrived but only returned very slowly thanks for the replys guys. Gave me a chance to use the new gun and have an enjoyable afternoon off work
  13. Morning Folks, The farmer I shoot for has recently drilled rape straight into the wheat stubble would this be a good shooting ground or is it best to stay on the old rape stubble, looking to get out this afternoon and un decided on the best place to set up as recently birds a very few and far between here in Suffolk. Thanks Sam
  14. Hi Skye, Me 2 having the same problem not many lifting from any crop around my permission in the Woodbridge area, rape and wheat cut just getting small bags, on the other hand lamping rabbits at night have had 132 of 4 fields in two nights getting through some serious amounts of cartridges!! Love the harvest time

  16. I totally agree J Dog will probably have to adjust due to the sun and find a suitable piece of shade near a high hedge before I set up I will check lines for a while and hopefully will have a good day on the gun tomorrow!
  17. I see that a lot of people start with the plastic deeks mine don't shine as I have managed to take the shine off them and when on the drilling earlier in the year birds would land next to the plastic deeks I will report how I get on tomorrow having studied the area a few times I know where I need to be so just hope I get some good shooting,
  18. UMM Interesting I have never had a problem with the plastic deeks before however going out tomorrow afternoon so will use more real birds as have some frozen ready thanks for the advice!
  19. Hi Rich, Looks like rape stubble should be good for you, I have my decoys set up in the 'U' using 12 plastic shells and a few dead birds. The birds that did decoy decoyed a dream and I was really pleased just so many went over and wernt interested!
  20. Hi Yes one was right over head and there is also one across the middle of the field plenty of birds along them just keep on flying.....
  21. There has been 100-150 pigeons feeding and constant stream overhead just rarely does only 1 or 2 decoy or come into range resulting in a small bag.
