Have a silver pigeon sportier with the usual white bead. Thinking of removing the bead all together or swapping it for one of the small silver round ones. I mount the gun most nights at home and can’t help but always seeing it no matter how much you try and train your eyes to look through it....it’s always there. Don’t like messing with things though so don’t know whether it’s worth it

I’m eager to also know. I’ll be out this coming weekend with a black bead...don’t know if I’m “playing” too much and this might be just a stupid idea
-
I’m eager to get out again and shoot this one...thinking back I don’t know where I was trying to shoot it

I have just painted my bead black with some black nail polish...I’ll see how I get on. Been shooting today and still finding that unconsciously I’m shooting too low...that mysterious bead that we aren’t supposed to look at my brain is saying it needs to be below the target. Lift the gun up and I’m hitting them one after another
-
next time I go (and if they have the same target) I’ll get a video
-
With the bead off?
-
I’m so tempted to take my bead off. Are they easy to put back on if required...for me I can totally understand the logic of NOT having one. For me it’s just an inconvenience. If your not meant to look at it then why have one anyway?

Totally baffled today in regards to a target which should have been so easy to hit. It was a fairly low incoming target which was sort of like a quartering target in reverse but much slower. Wasn’t coming straight at you but from an angle. It seemed so slow as though you could reach out and touch it...but for the life of me I couldn’t hit hit. Totally baffled by how you’d hit it

I can personally vouch for joe. Had numerous lessons with various people and without any doubt joe is the best

I see on the website that East Midlands shooting ground has recently been taken over and introduced the promatic system for shooting on your own...sounds good

I’ve ket hold of my licence as when looking on the basc website (which I’m a member of) they say not to send it in....I explained all this In the letter. I just find it very unusual that they haven’t been in touch with how stringent they are with getting a licence in the first place
-
So they wouldn’t even acknowledge your move?...I thought I would have heard at least something from them
-
Yes I thought about ringing them...never really thought about it until the last few days when I was thinking of getting a few cartridges. I’ll give them a Bell next week

Live in Nottinghamshire but moved house 2 months since. Still living within the Nottinghamshire area and notified the police that I moved via the Nottinghamshire police website and also sent a letter sent via recorded delivery. I own 1 single shotgun. I didn’t send my certificate in but I did state this in the letter that I wrote. I thought that I would have heard something by now from the police but I haven’t heard anything from them. Is this normal?
-
Ok no worries looking forward to it

Is there regular shoots held here?

Sounds Like a date just down the road from my work...silly question but plastic or fibre?
-
Tell me about it...Darnt tell her

Lol I probably wouldn’t hit the paper target with the shotgun anyway...being out at night with an air rifle lamping is just another excuse to get out.....I’m thinking of the health Benefits behind spending that money on another gun
-
It’s only rabbit shooting I’ll be doing and only shoot clays once a week anyway (at most)
-
How many people shoot air guns & shotguns? And will shooting air guns have any detrimental affect on my shotgun shooting (although I can’t get much worse)
-
Squirrel & pigeon yes...don’t really fancy the rats although shoot pigeons with the shotgun. Just always fancied shooting rabbits
-
Chicken & egg...do you scout land prior to investing in the setup of a PCP or do you set yourself up first prior to then checking the land?..could have checked the land with shotgun in hand first but suspect it’ll be totally different at night where a shotgun would be no good (for obvious reasons)
-
Maybe I should have scouted the land before setting my up with a PCP...may be some uneventful nights ahead

I would have hoped somewhere in 600 acres there would be some rabbits somewhere....good that the farmer also rents various smaller fields dotted about. One of them surely must contain rabbits
