  1. Looking at selling my pulsar Digex N450 with all the bits that it came with. Fantastic NV scope, have had it on my 17HMR, 22-250 and it now resides on my 222 but as I have unfortunately had to downsize the arsenal the 222 is going and I can’t bear to see it sitting in a cupboard. Comes with 3 APS2 batteries, IR torch, dual battery charging cradle, carry bag and I think I still have the box. Great last light/low light scope without the need to use the IR, I had it on my 308 for boar and used it while stalking as the battery life is good. looking for £450+P&P or I’m based in North Shropshire. It’s still in use until the sale as I’m using the last of my reloads for the 222 before the rifle goes!
  2. Just put in a bigger safe so this is surplus to requirement. Happily stores 3 guns, both rifles and shotguns. £60 I think it goes without saying F2F. Based Between Shrewsbury and Oswestry, North Shropshire.
  3. I gave up on Hornady 53 vmax when I was getting a consistent amount of misfires, went to sakos and never had a problem. My dealer said he had complaints from other about this and that the rep was going to get some ammo in to reimburse us but changed calibre so didn’t probe any further.
  4. I have an original Barbour Solway zipper for sale, good condition with belt and loops. It is a size 38. My wife has been using it but she prefers her ridgeline smock as it’s a better fit for her. Looking for £150+P&P. feel free to contact for any info, located North Shropshire
  5. Lee Loadall 12 gauge for sale, never used and only opened to check all there. comes with steel shot reload manual (State of steel). can post or located North Shropshire. £50+P&P
  6. Hi there, is there any discernible brand? where abouts are you located? cheers
  7. Here is my Browning Maxus. Clean condition, hasn’t spent a lot of time in the field, mostly roost shooting and clay shooting. 26 inch barrels, Teague modified choke. feel free to ask questions as I’m sure I’ve forgotten something. £500+RFD charges if required. Based in North Shropshire
  8. Where about you based I drive around for work so could tie something in
  9. I’m outside shrewsbury, baschurch way, what are you thinking.
  10. I have about 90 28 bore cartridges. 25g No.6 shot Sold my silver pigeon 28 a while back and just having a tidy up. Dry stored but don’t have boxes, no corrosion on heads and all in good order. £15 for the lot, pick-up around Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
  11. Just thought I would start a thread about my favourite guns in the arsenal, there are plenty of guns in the safe but I have my favourites and they just happen to be the cheapest, my escort mk2 and my newest acquisition a Greener GP. The escort has functioned perfectly and goes everywhere with me, pigeon, duck, geese,Fox and dare I say even pheasant have fallen to this beast, I have given it the worst paint job ever but it is like an ugly child that you can't help but love. The Greener is a 24" cylinder barrel it is a joy to carry when checking the sheep or those woods that can only be accessed with a long hike. http://s38.photobucket.com/user/cooperjb1308/media/20170211_210844_zpsfmchbtv2.jpg.html?sort=3&o=1
  12. Thanks for the replies, had my trusty hatstand for years now and looking for something that doesn't sound like it will rattle itself to pieces every time I shoot it. I heard the light contour barrels aren't too great with the heavier shot and still don't know whether steel proof. Should have stuck with my original semis my ugly duckling 3" Magnum A5 and the slightly more refined 24" barrelled beretta 302 but hey we live and we learn.
  13. Morning campers, looking at a new all-round semi as I have decided that my pump has decided to join the game preservation society as I can't seem to hit a thing with it, there are plenty of new semi autos out there but I seem to keep coming back to these two. Looking at a franchi affinity as well and it seems good but just wanted and few opinions from some seasoned pros, like it to handle 3" cartridges and preferably steel if at all possible. Got to come in at a reasonable price as dairy ain't paying as I'm sure you know. Thanks in advance
  14. Yeah it is an old savage, had to fiddle with the mag spring as it was loose as all hell but after that the old girl was as bringing them down.
  15. Took the puppy out today for a beat around some of the hedges looking for a few pigeons and low and behold there were none. Started to feel a bit disheartened and decided to head home after an hour of creeping when a rustle in a hedge stopped me and the overexcited pup in its tracks, two foxes jumped out and one of the poor **** fell to the recently acquired pump. After that went on with the walk and picked up a woodcock and two large cock pheasants. Very proud of the puppy as both hard, blind retrieves and both ended up over 50 yards away.
  16. My first auto was a beretta 302 with both a 30 inch steel proof barrel from last owner and the original multi choke barrel and it was amazing, wood wasn't the best but for pigeons and rough shooting there was nothing better. I now have a harassment escort in 12 and I just annoy fault it it will do anything I want it to and it was dead cheap. I Walsh have a browning A5 from the 50's and that is great but it is a full choke barrel which isn't perfect for close range work but for £125 I wasn't going to argue. All of these guns were easily affordable and in my opinion would be great first time autos
  17. I get my guns (rifles and shotguns) services through morgans in Oswestry which wouldn't take you more than 40 mins to get to down the A5. They use a gunsmith in Llanymanoch and he is pretty good. I don't know of anyone who will do the work in shrewsbury unfortunately.
  18. Got to agree my A5 is as good as the day it came out of the factory 60 years ago, brings down the pigeons like no other but I don't like throwing it around so my go to farm gun is the hatsan auto, people say they are **** and maybe theirs are but mine has never missed a beat as long as you use 23/4 carts and no smaller. Destroys the ducks and loves the challenge of high geese which I get a few chances a year, plus, I don't mind it getting banged up as it only cost me £200 new. My other semi auto is a browning B80 in 20 gauge which is a really lovely walk around gun as its so light.
  19. After all that talking up I can't get the uploader to work so sorry lads
  20. Just thought I would add a pretty picture for all the members that have a short attention span like myself. These are my autos. The farm workhorse my hatstand,( brill gun, would recommend every day of the week for a beginner), the old boy, my browning Auto-5 made by FN and finally the accidental pickup which turned out being the best accident I've had recently, my browning B80 in 20g. Cracking guns and I use all of them regularly, whether it be on the pigeons, corvids, ducks or much to my syndicates distain the pheasants!
