  5. Very true always use to give the Shoveler and tufftys to a elderly relative in days gone by!
  6. In my opion you would be best to buy a farmed one the only way I will eat goose is if its crowned out and cooked in slow cooker otherise it can be tough if roasted.
  7. Me and a friend are currently looking for some permissions to shoot in these county's in East Anglia. We are fully insured and have been shooting many years. We ideally are looking for someone with plenty of land who will call us when pests are a problem and we can turn up to shoot them. We of course wouldn't want to be paying for it but would possibly throw you a bottle of you're favourite whiskey for the pleasure and letting us shoot you're land. If you think you can help us drop me a PM or post here and we would greatly appreciate it.
  8. Anyway it's all done now. I'm off out shooting on the Foreshore Tomorrow and will have a think about my actions. Cheers guys for the advice.
  9. Fine all paid. Feo will be around to have a chat with me about my behaviour but I won't be losing my SGC I was told today. Time to forget about it move on and not drink as much next time.
  10. Ticket wasn't issued at time as the nick was full and they couldn't take me in for drunk and disorderly. So in some respects I was lucky there. Will just have to pay it and wait and see
  11. Got to go to the station and pay it Wednesday. I believe it's for urination in the street but will make sure before I sign it. It's the only option I have just hoping I don't lose my SGC.
  12. Didn't admit to anything also wasn't arrested at time ect. I believe it's a fixed penalty notice and that is it.
  13. Enjoyable day out but would think you'd struggle to make it two days.
  14. It won't go to court if I pay the £90 fine. That will be the end of the matter. And I'm already awaiting that chat as I'm sure it will come.
  15. I think that's the route I'm going to have to take. Do you think I'll lose my shotgun certificate for that?
  16. So I went out for a few a couple of weekends ago and the nightclub had closed and I needed to relieve myself. I did so in a doorway which was a stupid thing looking back now. Police caught me doing it and said it was going to go to court. I hadn't heard anything for a couple of weeks and tonight they came round to see me. They told me I could go to court and go down that route and potentially I would get a criminal record for Drunk and Disorderly or I could pay the £90 fine. What would the advice be from the members of the forum be apart from in the future to not drink so much alcohol. Most of all I'm worried about losing my shotguns if I'm totally honest as it would be a big part of my life ruined by a simple mistake when drunk. I am not known to the police and this is the first time they have spoke to me. The woman who was there at the time came around because she wanted to give me another option to sort it instead of going down the court route. So what should I do? Accept the £90 fine or go the court route? The Police Sgt has already made his statement already so the ball is in my court as such.
  17. I think it's a natural wet area that holds water. I think we will be feeding Barley just as it's easier to get our hands on it. Put a couple decoys on the splash so hopefully will bring the mallard in now.
  18. Anyone who needs any beaters in Suffolk I'm willing to go and do it for the day. PM Based in Bury St Edmunds
  19. So me and a friend shot a splash we have permission to shoot on yesterday. We had quite a lot of teal come in and a few mallard. What we need advice on is feeding it. We want to get a few bags of Barley and feed it. The splash is always there as it's on marsh land next to the river but there's a few cattle on the field and we was wondering if the cows would eat the barley in the splash? Any advice about feeding would go a miss and our total for the other night was 6 teal a mallard and three pigeons.
